ricktendo Posted September 19, 2007 Author Posted September 19, 2007 It might not be R13... Sometimes my sidebar wont launch either but its because of Windows Sidebar Styler not any updatepack.Uninstall WSS or delete its DLLs in the Windows Sidebar dir and see if that fixes it.ferigno1 that is not a link to a unpatched/unmodified version of the original Vista sidebar in french. You need to find somebody with Vista FR to give it to you and send it to me.I need something like this ferigno1 but the french version http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=1516 Quote

ricktendo Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 thx rick givin the new installer for x64 a try, will report back soon to confirm if this bad boy worksIts a silent installer and its located in the svcpack folder, you just execute the installer (wtf? nothing happens . Its silent) and wait a bit then reboot.@ kicko copy regsvr32.exe to the same directory as Sidebar.cab, that makes it go fasterOff Topic: How much easier can it get? Quote

ipd56 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 hi rick update to new down load no sign of the office gadget m8 Quote
ricktendo Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 You have to uninstall the old Sidebar (it deletes some registry entries) in order to fully install this. The registry entries run after you restart, you will get a box saying Personal Settings, Windows Sidebar. If you simply deleted the Windows Sidebar folder and install over the old one then it thinks setup was already done and it wont run on reboot.
