ricktendo Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 rickscan u change the icon to windows 7 sidebar icon ???You can do this yourself mate, just:- Rename the %ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\xx-XX folder to en-US (make sure sidebar.exe.mui is in there)- Take a original sidebar.exe from vista sp2 and add your icon/skin or whatever then copy it to your Windows Sidebar dir- Right click on it and choose patch vista executable and you have sidebar.exe with the icon/skin of your choice Quote

ciccino Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 i'm sorry for my bad english...how i make a silent installer from your addon to install via ROEx?is possible?or unpack Ricks_WindowsSidebar6.0.6002.18005_Intl_AlkyXP1.1.7z and launch sidebar.inf in silent mod through ROEx? Quote
ricktendo Posted February 26, 2010 Author Posted February 26, 2010 Thats not the best way to install it, just integrate it as is for best results Quote
ciccino Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Thats not the best way to install it, just integrate it as is for best resultshi ricki'm sorry for my insistence!!! :sweatingbullets: in your second post you write at first point1- If you don't use nLite you can install the Sidebar manually. First install Alky for Applications 1.1, now extract Ricks_WindowsSidebar_Intl_Alky*1.1_AddOn.7z to a sub-folder...right click on Sidebar.inf and rest is self explanatory.so... i suppose... is possible install your sidebar in Windows Post Install?i need one information: how i launch inf file in silent mode? Guest Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 hi ricki'm sorry for my insistence!!! :sweatingbullets: in your second post you write at first pointso... i suppose... is possible install your sidebar in Windows Post Install?i need one information: how i launch inf file in silent mode?it's possible but it's not good cause you need to first install Alky Application and then run the inf you can first extract the addon you will have the svcpack folder get the alky.exe out of thereand delete the svcpack as no need of it then in the inf remove the question line and finish messagethe repack all the files in an exe using winrar and point it to run the inf file then here you go 2 files Alky.exeSideBar.exeinstall them in that orderi don't recommend this way the full integrate is much more better Quote

trippinferret Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Hi ricktendo 64Just finished integrating a few packs with Nlite on a clean XP SP3, could you please tell me what order I should put the sidebar in.User_Hidden Post SP3OnePiece Net Framework 1.1Onepiece WMP 11OnePiece IE8Ricktendo MCE 2005Ricktendo Win7 MCEI will do a fresh integration in the order here, would I put the sidebar to be integrated last any suggestions would help. qwesta Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I will do a fresh integration in the order here, would I put the sidebar to be integrated last any suggestions would help. Thanksexperience has shown that you should do all your integration addons and thereafter the "sidebar" as a separate(alone) Addon on Nlite.i have never had any problems since -over almost 100 integrations..cheers Quote
Mr_Smartepants Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I would split the integrations into two separate tasks. First do #1. Close nlite. Then begin #2.Integration #1User_Hidden Post SP3OnePiece Net Framework 1.1Onepiece WMP 11OnePiece IE8Ricktendo SidebarIntegration #2Ricktendo MCE 2005Ricktendo Win7 MCE Quote
ivanhoe1966 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Don`t use this sidebar it sucks! I advice to use Universal Sidebar 6001 from Isso Project Inc. (2008), because is more reliable. :thumbsdown_anim: :naughty: Quote
