ricktendo Posted December 7, 2007 Author Posted December 7, 2007 Does that malicious Removal tool run often when installed?? Its hard to explain how i done my cd, i only came here a few days ago and have used different packs to you guys.. but in the end the only thing stopping my cd being 100% upto date was cos i didn't know how to make it into an addon.. so i put it in via $oem$ method but im guessing im missing reg keys??No MRT does not run... And yes you do need to add a reg entry or MU will have you download it againBut they forgot IE7 and WMP11 too! IE7 and WMP11 will be included in my updatepack when SP3 is final (at least IE7)
Rhor Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 (edited) Greetings.I'm getting some errors on nLite when I try to include this pack.Maybe the picture will serve as a clue as well.First Window: "CopyFiles = SWFiles"Second Window: "AddReg = SW.AddReg"Third Window: "H-Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.Parameter name: indexPlease report this error if it's unexpected.Write your message in English and attach you 'Last Session.ini' if possible."Im testing only this addon with nothing else on the nLite session.Thanks. ricktendo Posted December 8, 2007 Author Posted December 8, 2007 Why are you using sp3 updatepack on a non sp3 iso?
DEViANCE Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Rick you say above it will need download if no reg entries but it dosent ask me.. i used $oem$ method to put the exe in system32 and it is ok.. also i see you all talk of this beta sp3?? i don't know about you guys but im using the release candidate 1 (3244)... ifd you have the correct reg entries on your pc it should show up on the ms update site for download.
ricktendo Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 You slipstream SP3 into your XP iso then you integrate this... It contains small updates like Flash, MRT, WGA etc.I'm just practicing till SP3 becomes final and I will (hopefully) make a "All In One" UpdatePack with Updates, IE7 and WMP11 included
Rhor Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 (edited) I used the last versions of this pack before with no problems at all. I got almost all the updates already included on the source.Im not a developer, so if you can tell me why Im having problems, I can create a workaround. Thanks in advance. Kelsenellenelvian Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Becuase you're using it on a non-SP3 source!!!
Rhor Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Then why I didnt have any problems at all using the last version of this pack (1.0.5) when the XP source is exactly the same; same addons, same updates, same everything? The only change was this pack, from version 1.0.5 to 1.0.6.
ricktendo Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 You are having problems because you are using it on a already modified source, the error you are getting is because swflash.inf has already been edited. I use this command in my entries.ini to edit that fileswflash.inf|[DefaultInstall]<NEXT>CopyFiles = SWFiles<NEXT>AddReg = SW.AddReg<NEXT>RegisterDlls = Base.RegSvr|[DefaultInstall]|1swflash.inf|[UpdateInstall]<NEXT>AddReg = SW.AddReg<NEXT>RegisterOCXs=Base.RegSvr.Update|[UpdateInstall]|1This edits[DefaultInstall]CopyFiles = SWFilesAddReg = SW.AddRegRegisterDlls = Base.RegSvr[UpdateInstall]AddReg = SW.AddRegRegisterOCXs=Base.RegSvr.UpdateTo[DefaultInstall][UpdateInstall]
Rhor Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 (edited) Thanks for the information. I wasnt re-applying the new version of this addon to a modified source where a last version was applied before tho. But I found a way to include all the components, except for the Flash Player, wich is more likely to find a new version from Adobe every month or so.Thanks for all your help. ehabfg Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 (edited) thanks for contineous effort for update pack but please add Universal Audio Architecture High Definition Audio files Edited December 20, 2007 by ehabfg
chris.b Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I added this one to the german SP3 hotfix pack coz it is not installable on SP3 systems. You find the english version on Xables HotfixShare KB888111_ENU You don't need the portcls.sys in the fix - a newer one is in the sp3.
