LUZR4LIFE Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 OK, I have been playing around with Style Builder and have been able to create Themes. How will I add wallpaper to the Theme so when the theme is picked it will load wallpaper with it and not just a black screen? Thanks. Quote
ricktendo Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I think style builder only creates .msstyles files, you have to create a .theme file to do this (its quite easy actually, no special software needed)- After you complete your Theme go ahead and install it to the Resources\Themes directory- Then Right Click on the Desktop, choose Properties and set your theme/msstyle in the Apperance tab- Now set the Wallpaper you want used with your theme (you can also set and specify, desktop icons, cursors and sounds)- Finally in the General tab you hit the Save As.. button to save your .theme file (save it in the Resources\Themes dir and give it the same name as the msstyles)- You can edit it by opening your .theme file in Notepad and remove any suff you don't need (such as sounds and cursors)Heres what a .theme file looks like; Luna Royale Theme[Theme]DisplayName=Luna Royale; My Computer[CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\DefaultIcon]DefaultValue=%WinDir%explorer.exe,0; My Documents[CLSID\{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}\DefaultIcon]DefaultValue=%WinDir%SYSTEM32\mydocs.dll,0; My Network Places[CLSID\{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D}\DefaultIcon]DefaultValue=%WinDir%SYSTEM32\shell32.dll,17; Recycle Bin[CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\DefaultIcon]full=%WinDir%SYSTEM32\shell32.dll,32empty=%WinDir%SYSTEM32\shell32.dll,31[Control Panel\Cursors]Arrow=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\arrow_ba.curHelp=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\helpse_bal.curAppStarting=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\working_ba.aniWait=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\busy_ba.aniNWPen=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\pen_ba.curNo=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\aero_unavail.curSizeNS=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\ns_ba.curSizeWE=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\we_ba.curCrosshair=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\cross_ba.curIBeam=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\text_ba.curSizeNWSE=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\nwse_ba.curSizeNESW=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\nesw_ba.curSizeAll=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\move_ba.curUpArrow=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\up_ba.curDefaultValue=Blue Arrow (Transparent)Link=%WinDir%Cursors\Aero\link_ba.cur[Control Panel\Desktop]Wallpaper=%WinDir%Web\Wallpaper\Beach.jpgTileWallpaper=0WallpaperStyle=2Pattern=ScreenSaveActive=0[boot]SCRNSAVE.EXE=[MasterThemeSelector]MTSM=DABJDKTThemeColorBPP=8[VisualStyles]Path=%ResourceDir%\Themes\Luna Royale\Luna Royale.msstylesColorStyle=NormalColorSize=NormalSize Quote
LUZR4LIFE Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 Thanks Rick, I knew you would come through. I never noticed the "Save As" function there. Now after I have made my Themes, I can send them to CabTool and then add them to a install correct? By replacing the other cab all ready there? Quote
ricktendo Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 UMM no... If you make a theme and upload it I can make you a addon OR you could use nLite to slipstream it (theres a option in the unattended area) Quote
LUZR4LIFE Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 OK, I will try through NLite and see if that works. I will let you know. I will let you know when I upload the themes and give you the link just in case you want them. I haven't created my own yet. I have been working on so much, I'm going crazy. LOL Thanks. Quote
