Posted December 4, 200717 yr Glass Toasts by Andreas Verhoeven (AndreasV)Info: GlassToasts replaces the "ugly" WindowsXP/Vista style balloon notifications with the Beta 1 style glassy toasts: With this application the balloons in Vista will also have an aero glass look.MD5: 800903EDEC17B33564AABF91D7FEFFACSize: 246 KBWebsite: http://mpj.tomaatnet.nl/vista/Known Issues:1- If the application is running and you uninstall it explorer will crash (fix this by closing the app b4 uninstall)2- I find the following switches do not work for me under Windows XP (hopefully I can get an updated version with these fixed)"-auto" will start the glass toasts directly without showing a dialog."-show" will show the dialog of a previously started GlassToast.exe"-stop" will stop a previously started GlassToast.exe procedure. The application remains active"-kill" will stop all previously started GlassToast.exe and unload them from memory.

January 6, 200817 yr Umm thats a great idea :thumbsup_anim: I'm not sure if tis doable. But i wish so.Maybe this could help reducing app memory consumption since it uses almost 7mb of ram for normal operation... Anyone dare to do this? :sweatingbullets:
January 14, 200817 yr Hmm 7MB.. I don't think so.. there's no way to reduce it. Unless someone can optimize the theme.

May 15, 200816 yr Thanks! Now I'm wondering, where did the new style clock, the glassy balloon tips (toasts), etc. disappear in Vista. Alphas (Longhorn builds), Betas, RCs etc. had them, but Microsoft removed them. Weirdos... Thanks Rick, great, great addon!
