Posted September 6, 20222 yr install file been renamed to install.esd i enjoy win toolkit the only think is with windows 10 and windows 11 not able to use wintoolkit due to used to be install wim file where you can add or subtract from the file know with wim toolkit you cant not able to open or read (mount) install.esd file sources folder it was renamed thank you
September 6, 20222 yr esd format (esd means electronic software distribution) is similar to wim, but encrypted (and usually better compressed). You can export an esd to a wim (and vice versa), just use your search engine to search for "esd to wim".

5 hours ago5 hr It appears that you have a problem with using WinToolkit because the installation file has been renamed from install.wim to install.esd in later releases of Windows 10 and 11. WinToolkit does not have native support for mounting or reading install.esd files. To bypass this, you can change the install.esd file back into the older install.wim format with a utility like DISM (Deployment Imaging Service and Management Tool), which comes with Windows. After you convert it, you should be able to utilize WinToolkit like you used to before.
