Help plz: my nlite slimptream have some error?

Hi

I have been using this nlite for long.

my other cds are working fine

but this time when I am making my personal sliptream with vista styling!

the installtion stops at a particular point, when It installs the addon softwares.

Kindly help..

1. How to insert the LONGUI.exe into the installation?

2. How to know where I am going wrong?

For the longui. I drop mine into my i386 folder and replace the original, then make the iso. Works fine that way. Wish I could help with nLite, but I don't know much about errors.

Are you sure it stops?

Because when it reaches t13 this is when addons begin to install and this takes awhile so be patient and give it a few mins

Why don't you put the silent installer in a svcpack folder, archive it along with the entries*.ini and integrate it that way?

Now its working when I started from default to new settings.

Kel_VistaDriveIndicator_v2.2 is not working with me, So I saved that on iso will install this after first boot.

Tell me one thing friends .. Shall I install the V'ISO B_7.1 after all the tweaks ?

or Before applying all the tweaks and removing the components?

Now its working when I started from default to new settings.
Kel_VistaDriveIndicator_v2.2 is not working with me, So I saved that on iso will install this after first boot.
Tell me one thing friends .. Shall I install the V'ISO B_7.1 after all the tweaks ?
or Before applying all the tweaks and removing the components?

Hi rollcage,congradulate you out of problem,I'm insteresting in your project ,Do you integrate IE7 and WMP11 before Nlite over your i386 folder? Your IE7 and WMP11 work normal ?

oh I mean I never succed install IE7 and WMP11 use nlite after servrial steps like this :

IBMOEMXPSP2 + SP3.V3264 + IE7 + WMP11 + 12Hotfixes of WMP11 + SP3UpdatePack1.09 + V'iso v7.1.2

Note:

step1 : Slipstreaming sp3 v3264 using Nlite

step2 : Integrating IE7(onepiece_ie7addon_1.9.2_enu.7z)

step3 : Inrtegrating WMP11 and 12 hotfixes of WMP11 use Nlite

step4 : Nlite Integrating Ricks SP3 UpdatePack 1.09

step5 : Slipstream Ricks V'iso v7.1.2

From step3 I create ISO files for each step,they all install sucessfully and work fine,

from my way I like use Nlite to shrink XP CD size that can be reduce some itemes I never use and add some usefull programes as well,

After several times nlite projects,IE7 and WMP11 never succed in installation and the whole process without any error occurs and failure tips,

even I keep most components not to be reduced,now it got me brain freeze,

I think I met the Nlite problem,so I post my problem here any one can help me on this

Changed to codebox

Hello ,How to use codebox ?

I mean copy these codes to a Notepad,after ctrl+c and ctrl+v to notepad2 ,A bunch of letters and numbers stick together show me from my end,I don't know why.it wont funny devide them to lines manually

I didnt reply bcoz I was actually working it out again n again.. then installing using the VMware to install again & again

1. For WMP 11,

> Now what I do is .. use the WMP11.exe from the addon, extract it and manually integrate using WMP11 Slipstreamer.

2. Internet Explorer ... using IE7_onepiece_1.9.2_enu using nlite only..

<< Earlier both of these were put as insallers not integrated>

So they acting as silent installer nothing else.

Now my steps are:-

step 1. Integrate WMP11.exe

2. Use nilte to remove components, addons, tweaks and unattend install.

3. Use V'iso 7.1 to Vitalise the i386 folder.

(note my cd is already SP3 integrated)

Now there are two problems

I cant add a registry entry

bcoz I want that to make the shut down menu like this.

earlier I installed this Hotfix KB893056-x86 the registry entry is this (now I Just need to apply the Reg Tweak because WindowsXP-KB893056-x86 is already added in SP3.

rollcage I think you have a bad INF addon... I get that same unregmp2 error when i have a bad addon in my mix

I found that Integrating IE and WMP11 is creating problem.

I want to slipstream those not put a installer to run at sometime.

also, can you tell whats the use of RVM Integrator and when to use WMI?
