I have checked this and found that after integration (run in vmare) in c:\WINDOWS\system32\ShellExt there was xthumbs.dll. After extracting and installing the addon manually then the thumbs.dll was there as well and could see the nice thumbnails...

Rick you any idea?

Try this:

Copy xthumbs.dll as "thumbs.dll" to dir "C:\WINDOWS\system32\ShellExt"

Then run a cmd and navigate to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\ShellExt"

type "regsvr32 thumbs.dll

And its done :)

Thanks for the addon rick, thats a great addition to windows xp.

OK I found the problem, it was my entries.ini file. It did not rename the file on copy buy i fixed it now

xthumbs.dll = 1,,,,,,,30,0,0,thumbs.dll <- I forgot this

Redownload grzegorzo, same link, same addon filename just verify with the md5 hash

Umm, this slowed down my xp too much. And, lastly i've disabled the cache. Cool addon though.

Thanks again Rick.

Edit: Check "Start\Control Panel\Xentient Thumbnails" for app settings.

i've never had any problems with slowdown using it.. i've tried to find alternative programs but havent found any that does what this one does.

i noticed is that its not showing up in add/remove properties, nor is there a folder for it listed under start>programs... i'm curious if this was intended?

edit: well it seems to be working properly, but as far as i know it cant be uninstalled. i suppose its not that big a deal

This keeps failing for me. Textmode setup keeps asking for the files. I'm guessing it's because RVMi is compressing the files so the names are changing. Would that effect it? Thoughts?

thanks
