just_laze Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 (edited) Hey,If I remove the following from LSPatch.inf:[Patch.AddShortcut]Name =LS PatchCmdLine =16422,"%PATCH_DIR%",LSPatch_1.1.exeSubDir =UtilitiesWorkingDir=16422,"%PATCH_DIR%"InfoTip =Hide or Restore Logoff/Shutdown text ~ by Windows X[Strings]PATCH_DIR="Utilities\LS Patch"Will that mean no start-menu entry is created? Also, how would I go about re-packing the cab with my modified LSPatch.inf?Does LSPatch apply itself automatically or will I need to run it everytime I log on? What about newly created users, if it is automated, will it work for them too?laze. Edited March 12, 2007 by just_laze Quote

ricktendo Posted May 2, 2007 Author Posted May 2, 2007 This not working to me. The text still there after i intsall ithis addon. can u help me rick?It will not remove the text automatically just by integrating it... It integrates a Program. You have to remove it yourself by going to the Shortcut to the app in Utilities and execute the patcher. Quote
dontpanic Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 I installed the patch and now my computer refuses to boot up. It takes me to the logon screen, lets me log on, shows me the wallpaper and then freezes...no desktop icons, no system tray, no start menu...nothing. I dont know how to restore the explorer.exe file since it's not letting me start up at all. Any help is appreciated. Quote
Scrat Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 I installed the patch and now my computer refuses to boot up. It takes me to the logon screen, lets me log on, shows me the wallpaper and then freezes...no desktop icons, no system tray, no start menu...nothing. I dont know how to restore the explorer.exe file since it's not letting me start up at all. Any help is appreciated.I had the same issue earlier this year (no-English computer "FR") ...I know it's a little late for "dontpanic" but I post the answer anyway, because it could be useful for other users...launch the Task Manager, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete simultaneously on your keyboardclick on "file".. and click "new task"now browse to the LS patch and launch it again drag the window because it probably hide the pop-up messagein this pop-up message (..bla bla.. the text in ..bla bla..) just click "yes"now you should be back to normal !Scrat Quote
