Board Colors

Dear guests and members,

as you can see I'm currently working on our board color adjustments and changes.

I would like your opinions and recommendations written here so we can find the best look that would fit for most of the people, since whatever I do, there is no way to satisfy everyone

What is done so far:

-changed the board index forum markers icons

-changed the board index, forums navigation and post view fonts

-changed the hyperlinks color and hypelinks hover color

-changed the background of the forum

-changed the post icons - I'm already aware that these new icons are hardly readable and I'll see what I can do..

We can discuss what you like or dislike in these changes..

Yea, I'm really liking the new hyperlink colors, the other blue was too bright

The color text is better that the previous one, I almost spill my coffee on me, when the page pop-up the first time !

About the forum icons, I still look what I could came out.

I notice on the previous state on the forum, that the icon of some forum sections had a different style or color, so assuming that you can personalize each section icon, here a preview of my inspiration of the moment...(beware, it a big image 1012x3334).

You can't customize board icons in that way..Maybe with some third party mod, but I won't install that because of the security..

I was thinking that is only the matter of modify the script of your forum page, I download the code source and I modified it,("I change the image scr, example>" title="Mark forum as read?" onclick='boards_send_marker_update( 6, 1);return false;'><img src='a4.png')

So when I click on the Htm file, I got this!

(note I didn't change all the image scr, some have only the "New Posts" text, and I didn't download the forum images, so the look of the page is not the same, because to the missing images)

If that's the situation, we can try to do that together although I like the current icons

Is belong to you to decide if you want to change or not, if you are satisfied with the look right now, it o.k with me !

If I want to change the look of your site to fit my taste, I will use stylish in Firefox, like for the deviantArt site...

I like how WinCert for looks now, though the FAST REPLY, REPORT and QUOTE buttons are a little bright, I find my eyes get drawn to them.

That's true, Scrat, could you be able to change that colors so those buttons look as new topic (blue) instead of that bright color?

Yes, I have converted all the flags .ico format to 128x128 Png, I made a small Png set to use in the Firefox extension "Flagfox" to know where the website is hosted !

can you please upload those 128x128 png flags on our FTP 'cause I'd like to have them..

Also, can you please resize those flags to 30x30 or some similar size so we can change the flags we're using now. The problem is that we don't have all the flags in good quality, so this would be a nice update to the forum..

I think, apperance is everything...

For example: when you looked a t-shirt, if its colors etc. are good, you buy it...

Am ı wrong?

if it 's possible, ı wish forum was like vista aurora glass...

but this is just an opinion...

and i liked that i-tab classic.

Atsaunier is working on another skin for us, that will be even better match with the frontpage..Hopefully it will be finished soon..

Scrat, if possible, can you finish those flags so I can use them once the new skin is released..

I agree with AltF4 that the forum should look good and that's why I bought the i-tab classic skin before, but that skin wasn't accepted well by most of our members because a lot of people don't like i-tab style or because that skin is to "heavy", which means modem users have big difficulties loading that skin..

With the new skin we're planning to give the board more unique look with the frontpage and also a hyper speed

Reason why we're not using the vista glass skin is because a lot of sites already are using something similar, and we want to be different, right

Aha, there is a new theme here. Liked it buddy, seems more tidier, links are collected in groups
