NIM Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 ATICDSDr - That should be ATI Control Panel (don't remove it)ATIDGLLK.SYS is related to ATI Diagnostics Hardware Abstraction Sys (no need to remove it)Beep - The Blocks Extensible Exchange Protocol (not sure about this)I just saw that you've asked this question on various forums Quote
Siginet Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I think i recently dealt with a virus that used a beep.sys file. Some of those definatly look like viruses. Quote
trodas Posted April 17, 2008 Author Posted April 17, 2008 Of course I rather ask on more places and then come back with more info! Well, fist at all, to see all these devices, you have to use the registry tweak:REGEDIT4;show all the devices in the hardware table[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment]"DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES"=dword:00000001And then reboot + choose in the menu again show all devices. Then you can see these. And true, I had a mallware infection when I was running IE. Not anymore, but some stuff can remain there.ATICDSDr - removed, no ill effectsatidgllk - removed, no ill effects (I do overclock, but I have nVidia card (ATI mobo chipset tough) and mobo I overclock in bios)Beep - used, could this be removed for good somehow? Is not that the "beep" speaker anyway? We see if it come back BOPOMAV - removed, no ill effectsc34nb4c5 - removed, no ill effects (probably related to PunkBuster)e259q4c6 - removed, no ill effects (probably related to PunkBuster)Fs_Rec - removed, but it keep comming back (should be File System recognizer)NetGroup Packet Filter Driver - part of WinPcap - installed for Etheral sniffer, removedParallel - removed, but it keep comming back (parallel port disabled in bios)YQZBNWOGRK - removed, no ill effects Quote
ricktendo Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 These are OK... They are put there by programs, they are usually hidden from the devmgr Quote
