do we use Notepad++ v5.0.3!!! and Notepad2 v3.0.20-rc2!!! together? if impossible, which one is the best?

If you do use them together DON'T use the Notepad++ replacer addon...

Update:

Open Command Prompt Shell Extension new release -->2008/09/11 - 1.0.5

* The 64-bit build is now compiled with the PSDK compiler, which makes eliminating the static linking of the CRT possible. This significantly reduces the file size of the 64-bit version (its size is now comparable to that of the 32-bit build), and being able to use the same CRT as the host shell process conveys other benefits, including a reduced memory footprint (not that anyone running a 64-bit OS would ever notice a few kilobytes).

* The 32-bit build was version-bumped to 1.0.5 in order to keep the version numbers in sync, but no changes were made (the CRT was never statically-linked in the 32-bit build).

How do you replace Notepad with Notepad2? I have an installation from last December with your pack and Notepad2 integrated, and I was just trying to update Notepad2 to v3. (BTW, 3.0.20-rc3 is out now). I just replaced C:\WINDOWS\system32\Notepad2.exe with the new one.

However, now whenever I run anything, it doesn't work. If I just run notepad.exe, I get notepad.exe opened up in Notepad2. If I run a file, Notepad2 gives me an error saying "C:\WINDOWS\NOTEPAD.EXE "filenamewhatever"" could not be found. In short, it looks like notepad.exe is getting added as the first argument to Notepad2. How can I change this?

Download your language from this link: german

Rename file to nativelang.xml

Uncab the Notepad++ 5.0.3-addon from Kels, include the file in NOTE.CAB and modify [sourceDisksFiles] and [Note.main] in NOTE.INI to add nativelang.xml.

Repack the addon, install and use Notepad++ in German language.

I do it to use this addon in Portuguese Brazilian.

Hi Kel,

McAfee AntiVirus is detecting USSF.EXE 1.4.1.2 as a Virus (W32/Autorun.worm.gen).

Guessing this is a false positive, but its a pain.

USSF.EXE 1.4.1.1 is fine.
