Just like the title says, please explain to me advantages and disadvantages of 64bit .. other than being able to use large amounts of ram ?

I have x64 mobo and chip, but I use x86 only...Never even tried x64 tbh

I have tried WinXP64 and Vista 64 in the paste, to be at the present time they seem useless, other than excepting more ram what would be the point ?

With the majority of the programs out there being 32bit a 64bit OS has to emulate them in 32bit thus being slower ?

This topic was brought up with a friend and I just want to give him some more info.
