Microsoft Edge-WebView2 Runtime 132.0.2957.115 Dual x86x64 [Silent]

As announced on Microsoft Learn, version 132 of Edge has hit the Stable channel. If you're not sure how the channels work, Microsoft Edge versions enter the Stable channel once they've undergone several rounds of public testing and are deemed worthy of general use. As such, you can expect to see version 132 arrive on every PC with Edge.

This new update introduces many features, such as password manager tweaks and a full favorites bar in Workspaces. However, people who love shopping online will resonate with the Shopping Product Tracking tool:

Track product prices easily with a new experience in the Edge Address Bar that appears on the product detail page. Users can track prices quickly and are notified when there's a price drop on that product and save more.

If you want to give it a spin, update Microsoft Edge to version 132 and see if it's enabled. Microsoft states that the feature is being rolled out to PCs in a controlled manner, so it may not appear on your copy of Edge for a little while. However, if you're on version 132, it should only be a matter of time until you get the feature.

What is Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime?
Microsoft Edge WebView2 is a runtime installation used to provide web-based features in Microsoft 365 desktop apps that Microsoft began installing on Windows devices earlier this year. WebView2 uses Microsoft Edge as the rendering engine.

In Windows 11, the component is installed on the system by default. On earlier versions of Windows, it is automatically installed for users with modern versions of Microsoft Office for the specific purpose of running Office applications and the components built into the applications, built on top of web frameworks.

For PC users looking to take advantage of new or improved Office features or add-ins that depend on WebView2, they do not require any user input/action; as soon as WebView2 is available on the device, the component will be installed automatically. Regarding updates, WebView2 Runtime uses its own automatic update process, separate from the update channel used by Microsoft 365 Apps, to keep WebView2 up to date with the latest security and reliability updates.
