@bober:

I've just finished verifying the batch script for WinXP SP3,WMP11,OnepieceIE7

Problems found:

hmmapi.mui.res is not apllied -> rename the res file hmmapi.dll.mui.res to hmmapi.mui.res

XPRngOut.wav from the package is the same with that from SP3

wucltui.mui.res file size is 0; the code is ok but there is nothing to patch

and ofcource :spcplui section from the batch

:spcplui

shafaet: Tell me, what options are you selecting on Page 4 (Options) of the GUI? Telling me this will probably allow me to narrow down the problem to a specific line or function.

EDIT: Make sure you apply the SYSSETUP patch BEFORE integrating the XPtsp resources! Xtremely important!!!(Source)

Bober: No, I haven't found/developed a way to build Icon Themes faster. I really haven't looked into it since the discussion.... I had gotten slammed by work, then this project kinda sidetracked/derailed the development of DSI....

Off-topic: You know, it's funny about the origins of the words "sidetracked" and "derailed", considering how they come from the railroad and related industries.... Kinda interesting...

DaRk MaDnEsS: Why the PatchAddon SYSSETUP InfSkip add-on? What does it do that may/would help with this situation?

well i didnt fully test it

but for some reason nlite do that problem

so i used RVM + that PatchAddon_SYSSETUP_InfSkip_v14.7z

this what it does

Multi-Patch: SYSSETUP.DLL

INF Unlock refers to Disabling the check for M$ Digital Signature on the syssetup.inf file,

flagging it as "Always Valid" so that it can be modified.

ALSO: If you are using XPize i386 patching or your own custom Setup (WINNTBBU) GUI screens,

apply them AFTER these patches.

Do _NOT_ attempt to use these patches on any file other than an **original source version**,

it _WILL_ fail to patch.

Note: WINNTBBU modified screens are ONLY a problem if the one you are using has modified text resources.

well not fully tested for the reason yet

but i will try to test it soon

hi,

i tried again with the new version but no luck with Nlite, then i tried with RVM in this case most of the addons has installed but WMP11, Ricks sidebar gadgets, onepiece IE7 and couple of addons didnot work. i don`t know still which part i`m doing wrongly integration.

pls check whether any steps are wrong or not,

1. integrate SP3

2. hotfixes, addons and also< that PatchAddon_SYSSETUP_InfSkip_v14.7z> with RVM

3. unattendent, tweaks, remove, add services and so on.

4. patch with XptSP GUI latest version.15a

5. add drivers with driverspack.

6. WPI

7. VMware testing.

before this XPtSp, i used to use ricks ViSO but i didn`t have this kindda situation.

but i love to use this patch as this looks way better**IMAGES** then ViSO.

thanks a lot for all of ur cooperation. :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim:

spcplui is fixed i forgot to update lol,about wucltui.mui.res i know about this, a while back i said i was gonna remove it and i forgot to do so.

about hmmapi.dll.mui.res to hmmapi.mui.res it also should be fixed when i update.

thx for noticing.

dougie:

lol too bad there arent "sidetracks" incase of derailements.

i had 2 hmmapi res files,now theres only one (hmmapi.dll.res) code adapted to patch hmmapi.dll and hmmapi.dll.mui depending on the case.(nrie7/onepeice)

:help: I have problem with addon versions 15a and 16. :help:

They seems to interrupt progress at step where usually start patching files in drivers.cab.

version 15 works fine.

Let me guess, you edited some files before Xptsp?

If you tell, what you did or add.

We can help you faster.

I'm editing alot of files :)

Here it is in short

1.Integrate SP3

2.Integrate RVM Post SP3 pack and WMP11 ith RVM Integrator

3.nLite BIG JOB integrating/removal/tweaking

4.last step in RVM integrator : switcless installers/Lucida Font fix/text mode setup speedup/XPtsp

I guess, there is problem in batch, when it cant find some file and terminate.

was there IE7 in your integration?

Yes, there wer some bugs but ı think bober fixed them.

And could you try to tweak/remove things (using nlite) after Xptsp integration?

1-Add your addon, update packs.

2-Try nlite after integrate Xptsp.

Try by these steps.

nope. no IE7. no IE at all :D

today later i'll try to find out, what is causing trouble.

ok so can you manually extract xptsp files to ure root dir where i386 is and edit xptsp.bat.plz remove the "@echo off" should be 1st line. save it and run the batch.once you know the batch is interrupted please copy the lines where the batch has stopped at.also i really do recommend integrating the addon version alone .

also is it possible that it is just taking way longer cause you have more files in drivers.cab than you had b4?

In my Polish batch version of XPtsp the INETCPL.CPL.MU_ isn't changed. I'm using Polish ie7. It's pure setup file integrated by nLite.

I translated and changed in the batch only:

xpsp1res.dll=sprs0415.dll

xpsp2res.dll=sprt0415.dll

xpsp3res.dll=spru0415.dll.

Yes, we have a problem like you.

But ı will try to solve and share with you.

But bober has a soluition if it works for you.

And your problem is about inetcpl.cpl.mui

not about these files

xpsp1res.dll=sprs0415.dll

xpsp2res.dll=sprt0415.dll

I'm stick with this project every day since version 02 :)

As I said before, I'll find reason of failure.

I said these things for turkish users.

and your problem is about IE7.

Hi,

sorry if it's a stupid question, but is this like X-Pize (double-click, uninstall)? Or do I need to make a clean install to use it?

Thanks in advance!

Posted

You know, I never really noticed it before, but winntbbu.dll has all the text missing from the main (right) pane during setup.

When did this change happen? :/

Not that I'm worried about it, like I said, I just noticed it.

Keep up the great work guys!

rud: "I'm using Polish ie7" r u using a silent install or a true addon?

It's IE7-Setup.exe downloaded from M$ web and added two hotfixes. All files added by nLite.

Edit:

For someone who wants Polish version based on XPtsp v1.0.10b16 Batch.

thats what i thought, you have to understand that an installer running later in the windows process cannot be patched cause the files arent present in i386 when xptsp is patching.true addons overwrite files in the source so they are available and dont change later in the install process.so if you want ure ie7 to be patched plz use a true addon or unpack the ie7 installer and manualy patch them and rebuild the installer.

also: there will be some work to do on ieframe.dll/ieframe.dll.mui seems ms has change the layout of the dialog,as everythign used to be centered but now after updating to the latest ie7 hotfixes and manualy patchign the resources the avi dl dialog is no longer centered.i will wait a while b4 updatign cause 1st,there are no updated ie7 true addons available and what good is it to include the fixed res files to patch a file a certain way when it is not available yet...so once the ie7 true addons are released ill fix it.

after further investigation im not sure if ieframe.dll.mui is the culprit...

seems they may ahve revereted back on using ie6's shdoclc.dll dialog for dls,but i have no idea this ism only speculation
