I have a laptop that has a password protected HDD, is there any way around it? This is a Dell laptop that requires a password for the HDD to load the OS.

You should get to laptop battery (small one on the board) somehow and remove it for couple of minutes. That should do the trick..

Thanks N1K. I have seen that when I googled it, there are also backdoor passwords but I was hoping that someone has actually done it before.

I just have the similar situation at work, I locked myself out from BIOS on the new server machine, LOL..

LMAO, who hasn't been in that situation. I had 8 different user ID's at a place I used to work at and they had it setup where you couldn't use the same ID or pass which also changed monthly. Put cool, you have actually done it.
