Ducter Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Have you even noticed "(XP Only)" sitting on both on top of the forum AND your browser window?Yeah, I have. Have you noticed that there is a combined XP-Server 2003 installer? Unless you can answer my question in regards to X64 versions then I do not see how you are very helpful, do you?
moorish Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Where can I download the Vista Sidebar for XP?Sorry if its a dumb question, but I can't see where the actual sidebar can be downloaded...just the link to download the pre-requisites.

moorish Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 http://www.sokoolz.com/addons/r64/Ricks_Wi...dOn_v7.06.22.7zThanks, but the link doesn't seem to be working
moorish Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 I think it is a isp problem for me.I used a proxy and it worked. So if the link is not working for anyone else, try using a proxy.
ricktendo Posted July 11, 2007 Author Posted July 11, 2007 Updated... No major changes just some tweaks and fixes
Samkov Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 rick just wanted to know if in this updated version if the weather is fixxed because in the older version i had to get that hacked dll to fix the waether prob?thanks
ricktendo Posted July 11, 2007 Author Posted July 11, 2007 My addon already has the modded wlsrvc.dll file
Samkov Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 alrite dont meen to sound stupid or repeate myself but your saying with the 7/11 update the weather will automatically update itself, because now that i had put the hacked wlsrvc.dll in it updates but i have to close the sidebar and reopen?thanks
ricktendo Posted July 12, 2007 Author Posted July 12, 2007 I don't really understand the question... Your weather gadget does not refresh, you have to close and reopen the sidebar for it to update?
Samkov Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 correct, and i was reading on so other forum u were saying to used a hacked wlsrvc.dll then you gave a link to it and then you said it helps most people out now it will update but for it to refresh while on my sidebar it needs to be colsed then reopened
nytrydr Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 ok err, im new here and i dont know jack about this side bar so can any one give detailed step by step installation guide??? -please??? -thanx -im out
ricktendo Posted July 16, 2007 Author Posted July 16, 2007 Install VAIO, WLan API hotfix and rebootMake sure you have IE7 & WMP11Install Sidebar using this installer instead and done
nytrydr Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 i click one the VAIO included in the package but nothing happens :|
ricktendo Posted July 16, 2007 Author Posted July 16, 2007 Its a "SILENT" switch installer... This installs VAIO with no prompt or nothing, just go to Program Files and you will see VAIOXP is installedReboot and install the rest of the software and sidebar that I gave you links toThis AddOn is for slipstreaming into your XP CD that is why the VAIO in svcpack folder is silent, its for automatic installations
nytrydr Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 oh ok now i get the error which at the end "instability may occur" i have installed "Ricks_WLanAPI-KB918997_AddOn_v3" but i still get this problem :|
ricktendo Posted July 16, 2007 Author Posted July 16, 2007 Dude you are using the wrong file... Download the wlan hotfix, I posted the link above. If your XP is not genuine and you cant dl the hotfix then you are out of luck, nobody is going to help you here.Stop using addon's as they are meant for slipstreaming not regular install
nytrydr Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 you were right rick, it works like a charm now thanks alot
