andyk Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Has anyone successfully patched KB982524? I am getting continuous installation, each time reported as successful. Generally this indicates I have a corrupt .NET.This is a fresh install. The image is created using nLite to slipstream SP3 into XP, then using nLite again to integrate OnePiece 3.8.0.Thank you for your help. Quote

OnePiece Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 (edited) And was a problem and dotnet2 dotnet4, Microsoft fixed the problem only in the last update issued a few days before, a problem that concerned the installation of all dotnet35 Update, which failed because the system was installed DotNet4 or service CLR v4 ... but as I said ok now, or already in the hands of the New DotNet AddOn, where or Uninstall already enabled, now you can also completely remove from the system DotNet35, but it is taking a long time the control panel, since there to put in place certain thingsCiao a tutti. If you need to rebuild in the meantime a new XP CD I suggest to add in your integration list these addonsafter UpdatePackMaybe it's not clearly stated: NetFX_Repair_For_UpdatePackv3.8.0 is NOT an addon. It's a fix to update running XPs you have installed using v.3.8.0-updated CD. Download, Unpack the whole archive, run inf file and restart windows, it's all.If you are making a new disc using update pack 3.8.0 and want to prevent KB982524 problem, download the June 28, 2010 release of Onepiece's .net 3.5 full true addon, and the Onepiece's .net 4.0 true addons here:Integrate those new ones into your CD after v3.8.0 updatepack then make/burn ISO as usual. abo treka Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 (edited) thanx for your effortsi have a problem :after integrating the last update-pack(13 July) >>the windows stops installing in the minute 23 and doesn't continue .. what do you think about this ?and i dont want the updatepack with windows search 4.0 . how to delete it from the package?? Edited July 24, 2010 by abo treka Quote
nonno fabio Posted July 24, 2010 Author Posted July 24, 2010 (edited) at t-23 starts .NET registration: v3.5 requires about 8 minutes then v4.0 further 10-12 minutes and maybe more, if you are installing Windows on a low end PC. If you press Ctrl+F11, you'll see the state of installation.About removal of Windows Search or other Windows components, you can use a RVMi Removal Addon: see first post Edited July 24, 2010 by nonno fabio Quote
medozzz0 Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) thank you my friend for this wonderful packageand i want to ask you about something :i have win xp sp3 oem then i use nlite to remove componentes and set some tweaks & optionsand then i used rvm integrator to integrate onepiece sp3 3.9 and the close it and rerun RVMi and integrate first Removal addon - rerun RVMi and integrate second Removal addon , and that's i usedBitLockerToGo - BrowserChoice - IMAPI2 - Smart_Card_Driver - Windows_Management_Framework_Core - Windows_Search - NETFX4.0 and then slipstream sata and Cursors Pack and Kels_CPLBonus and Runtimes_addon and and finally make iso and try it on vrtiual pcand find problem (missing some reg-tweaks in/of nlite.inf after XP-setup )(not remove shared document after setup windows)(not disable shadow from menu and mouse)(not use flat menu style)(not use Fade out selection)Could you help me and tell me about reason and how can i fix it ?Note : i have setup the windows after using nlite to remove componentes and set some tweaks & options and didn't find this problemLast Session.rar Edited July 27, 2010 by medozzz0 Quote
nonno fabio Posted July 28, 2010 Author Posted July 28, 2010 It seems something breaks nlite.inf file. You should make some testing.Integrate UpdatePack on an untouched XP SP3 source with RVMi, then integrate Remove Addons on same source, make an iso and test it on a VM.If it is OK, run Nlite on updated source and add all tweaks you like, "iso" it and test on a VM. If OK, integrate Addons, better one by one. Quote

eroder Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I have a problem installing SQL 2005 Express caused by KB954459. SQL uses it's own version of msxml6. Is it possible to remove it from the update pack? Quote
nonno fabio Posted August 12, 2010 Author Posted August 12, 2010 KB954459 is not present in this pack. It has been superseded by public MS update KB973687.Anyway the problem is not related to the pack but to Service Pack 3: SQL 2005 uses a very old setup file which is not able to see that MSXML6 is already resident in memory (it starts with windows, default from SP3), so it tries to install it and obviously fails. You should ask in Microsoft Social Network for a workaround Quote
