XP doesnt support IE9. So, you cant slipstream IE9

If you prefer to go back to IE6 you can restore it only after Windows installation from Add/Remove Components wizard (you need a XP CD with no IE7/IE8). You could remove IE8 from your source but with IE7 only: you must create a IE7 True Addon using Onepiece's tool DXUPAC; integrate it with a new RVMi (not Nlite) run in your source after Onepiece's XP UpdatePack and this will erase all IE8 traces and leave a clean IE7.

However there's no logical reasons to switch back to older browser, even if you use third party one.

thx for nice integration kit. First time I got an error during install using your files. At time 23 Win wants to run a vbscript but Win does not find the application for it and setup freezes. Only integrated your files nothing more.

There should be no problems, maybe integration is not done well (or other changes in the CD using nLite damaged the setup), try serving everything from the beginning, using a CD cleaner Windwos XP SP3, and integrate the update pack with RVMi, and try to VM, to see if everything is OK or not
