Addons: What is the difference?

Can someone please explain what the difference is between the Addons? If I'm understanding correctly, an SVCPACK addon is an addon that is installed at T-13... I think. So, what exactly is a "True Addon"? And how would you integrate a True Addon using nLite for example? Also, how do INF files work in relation to addons?

Just a few questions to increase understandability.

Like Msgplus which can be installed silently using \Silent command

True addon is integrating the addon in Xp cd

if you open the Inf

you would find commands to install the program in .... and to make a shortcut

the inf contains the commands to tell the Windows Setup where and what to do

the simply addon is like

A cab file + Inf file

the cab file contain the Prog Files

and the Inf got the commands to install the program

True addons try to mimic how windows installs some programs, like notepad and other of its accessories

INF files are basically text files that tell windows where to copy the files and what to add in the registry

Yes, INF file is executed same way whether its nLite or Integrator. Hope that answers your question
