proximous Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Thanks for the handy tool. Some ideas/requests for a future version...match installed "Integration" settings. Specific requests are:1) Match installed file associations. (I have 7zip installed also, and prefer for it to be associated with .7z files...aka winrar NOT associated.) This tool automatically associates winrar with all supported file types.2) Match installed shell integration. (More specifically, I prefer "Cascaded context menus". Default is non-cascaded.)Thanks again. Quote
ricktendo Posted May 8, 2007 Author Posted May 8, 2007 LOL who do you think I am Rickdini :lol:Sorry m8 but im not that good. This addon builder is simpler than it appears, its just a CMD file with a bunch of INF files for different theme settings and stuff. Quote
proximous Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 @Rickdini : Well, regardless of your perspective, I still consider your add-on maker impressive. It's beyond my skill level.I'll figure out my solution with some registry comparisons then. (Unless you have a better recommendation?)Thanks anyway. Quote
ricktendo Posted May 8, 2007 Author Posted May 8, 2007 Yea but its not for the faint of heart, you might need some addon making skills...Install the WinRAR Addon "AS-IS" then run InstallWatchNow open WinRAR and change the settings to the way you like it and run InstallWatch again to see the changes made to the registry.Export the InstallWatch Reg changesUse Reg2Inf to convert the InstallWatch RegFile to INF then expand and edit/delete the IN_ file of the addon to add/edit or remove Reg-lines. ricktendo Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 Did you by any chance disable or remove zip functionality with nLite? Quote
runningfool Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 to fix the rarnew/zipnew problem, go to winrar settings and make sure its the default rar/zip program. you may need to uncheck and recheck those boxes. Quote
