Dissscount Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 (edited) Hello, i have a big problem with my Windows Vista and Realtek 8187L...After i installed drivers, i try to search for any network(i live in very good place, where wireless networks are available)..So, i went to Start, Connect To..., and i see well i press Refresh, scanning for networks take up to 1-2 seconds, but anyway nothing happens..In Windows XP searching takes up to 10 seconds...I dont know what happens, please HELP...Pleaseeee :crying_anim02: Edited January 5, 2009 by Dissscount Quote

Guest snakecracker Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 seems to be that it has not installed correctly.have to tried to uninstall the driver then installing it.and look in Computer Management (Device Manager) to see if it has installed correctly or not.it should be under Network Adapters. if its under that then it installed correctly.if it has not then it will show a little Warning Sign on the the little icon next to it.or it will be under Other Devices.to uninstall just right click and press Uninstallthen install the driver again. (this should work)if thsi don't work it could be a problem with your Network Adapter. Quote

Guest snakecracker Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 hmmm for some reason i'm getting the same problem as well with my PC (i'm on my mums laptop)does not see the Network Adapter....?odd.hmmm from your screenshots everything looks ok..ok now go to a different Windows Manager.go to My Computer. Right click on it. and select Manageit should pop up with Computer Managementon the left it will have Computer Management (Local) System Tools - Task Scheduler - Event Viewer - Shared Folders - Reliabilty and Performance Desvice Manager < Select Thisetc...Then it will show you all the devices installed and what have to/need to be installed.you should see your Network Adapter under Network Adapters.if it has not been install correctlyit will have some kind of warning sign next to it.Take a ScreenShot if you want to...Sorry i did not expalin that will to you before.
