Guest snakecracker Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 (edited) Well Hello WinCerters!after all this time (about a year ago i started to say i'm going to build myself a computer or get one pre built)and now i have started to build myself a new one!if you have not had a look at 'My Specs' this week. i have put up what its going to be once its built.I'll Be adding Pictures later this day..Here is what its looking like. Going to use Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit untill I get Vista MoBo: Asus P5Q-E <Got!CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 / 2.83 GHz ( 1333 MHz ) <Waiting... using a intel pentium dual-core 2.50GHz 800MHz FSBMemory: Corsair 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) PC2-6400 DDR2 800MHz 5-5-5-15 <Coming Soon...Graphics: Xpertvision 256MB GeForce 8600GT <Got! (This is just so i can run my computer... will upgrade on my birthday )PSU: OCZ StealthXStream 600 Watt <Got!HDD#1 Samsung Spinpoint 500GB 7200RPM 16MB SATA300 <WaitingHDD#2 Samsung Spinpoint 500GB 7200RPM 16MB SATA300 <WaitingDual ScreenScreen #1: Asus 22 " VH226H Black Widescreen 2ms, 3000:1,1920x1080 with Intergrated speakers <Waiting...Screen #2: 20" Dell SP2009W 20-Inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor With Webcam 1680 X 1050 <Got!I'll be adding another 4GB so I will be up to 8GB.the MoBo can go up to 16GB.all the stuff that says Coming soon... hopefuly will be here next week or the week after.Over Time I'll Will Be Upgrading My System. the Graphics card i will change first...if you have anythink that i should add later on this year.. please do say! NIM Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Nice system, but if I were you, I'd wait for a couple of months and would probably buy a new MBO for iCore7 processors, along with the new Intel processor. But, I'm not sure what will be the price range for thenew processors. Quote

Guest snakecracker Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Here are some pictures of the Case and MoBo.If your building a computer i would say to get this case.its not too big nor too small it can fit most ATX motherboards.or if you want a bigger case with more fans and so on..i'll say for you to get the Antec Twelve Hundred Quote

Some boards have the PCI-E slots that go over the SATA ports, and over the RAM slots. One thing you should get is a new heatsink, the ones on the Q6600-9300 arnt to great.- Shadow Quote

Guest snakecracker Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 lol this is weird i'm a computer technician and stuff.but this is my first computer build and my system does not work.... well i have got everything i need.and well nothing will show on my screen...?i'm not sure if its the graphics card or something else...? the stuff i have in my system now is:Intel Celeron D 2.66GHzAsus P5Q-EnVidia GeForce 8600GT 256MB DDR3Corsair XMS2 4GB DDR2OCZ 600W Stealth X StreamSeagate 160GB HDD SATA<Unknown> DVD-RW IDE Drive.When i turn on my comp it starts up with no BIOS Beeps and nothing comes up on any of the 2 monitors?everything inside is running but nothing comes up...if you need more info tell me what to look for.thanks for your help. EDIT: Keyboard does not light up as it does on my other comp..EDIT2: MoBo is crossfireX support... will nVidia work (just by itself not on SLI?)EDIT3: CPU FSB is 533MHz. This is the problem. right? So i had to buy a new one for my system to run. Quote
