coucou Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 There should be a box at the top with the default name ie Win7Addon.7zJust before you click ok just type in .WA instead, if that still does not work then you might have to show all extensions and rename it manually, or just use the Addon Maker tool within W7T.TNX Legolash2o,it works :thumbsup_anim: BTW, is there any plugin (dll) enabling Windows_7_Toolkit_0.7.0.50 to run on WinXP. Because by launching it on WinXP I get "Invalid OS; This program can only be used on Windows 7" messageRegards Quote

Legolash2o Posted August 31, 2010 Author Posted August 31, 2010 (edited) Window 7 Toolkit only works on windows 7...The latest alpha lets you run it on XP and Vista BUT and this is a BIG BUT..... You have to have DISM & Imagex in the correct place for it to work. (Pretty much the same place as Win7.Wimgapi.dll in System32 folderDism.exe in System32 folderDISM folder in System32 folderetc... benjammin Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Crap Cleaner for both x64 and x86Name=Crap CleanerCreator=Legolash2oVersion=2.18.878Arc=x86!Description=Cleans all the crap on the computer[CopyFolder]CCleaner::Program Files[CopyFile]CCleaner.lnk::ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programsthe description says for both, but the example shows for x86 only... just thought I'd point that out. It should be Arc=x86, correct? Quote
Madz Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 (edited) It's been quiet on this thread for a while - not sure if it's the correct place to post this, but if an addon specifies arc=x86 and in the registry files refers to program files - is W7T smart enough to change this to program files (x86) - I know it does this for the tasks file, but wondering about the registry files???ThanksMick Edited June 18, 2011 by Madz Quote

Legolash2o Posted August 8, 2011 Author Posted August 8, 2011 Because that would require a lot of work, All-In-One Tool has an easy GUI and has everything and more than vLite/RT7Lite. Quote

sirtex Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Since it seems not only is InstallWatch not in development, but their website is down, I'd prefer to find new developments (& more Win7+ compatible) file/registry change finders. Here is what I found:WhatChanged by Vista Software / vTaskStudiofree, portable, track only 1 drive?, not updated in a yearhttp://netbooknetwork.net/2011/track-file-registry-whatchanged/http://www.vtaskstudio.com/support.phpTrackInstall by Matthias Withopffree, track multiple folders & drives, updated once in the past 2 yearshttp://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/track-change-in-registry-file-system-with-trackwinstall/http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.withopf.com%2Ftools%2Ftrackwinstall%2F&langpair=de%7CenIntegra System Monitorbeta, nice GUI, track different drives at once, might be slower, updated yesterday http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/monitor-and-compare-windows-system-state-files-registry-changes/http://www.moosoft.com/integrabetaI'll test one or more of these to see if they work. If anyone has experience in these, please let me know! Quote

sirtex Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Only one I use is regshot...Once you get it configured to ignore all the stuff you dont need... Works great....Just my opinion Thanks! But what about where all those files go? Quote
*Reaper* Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 (edited) Depends on how complicated the addon is going to be...I have used many different programs at the same time..... Installwatch to monitor files, regshot for the registry, etc.....(There is another I use to monitor files, but cant think of it at them moment. Not at home to look..)If it a complicated addon, it can get very interesting....Most dont get into to many problems....Now a addon like Office 2010... Thats a whole different story.... Took me almost week to get that sorted.... It wasa royal pain! Edited September 9, 2011 by *Reaper* Quote
ricktendo Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 WTF!!! you have a office 2010 w7t addon? Thats insanely complicated Quote
diddi Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 greetings all. i am having trouble with the installwatcher link. it seems to be gone. could someone post a new one, or a torrent plz?TIAdiddi Quote
caphp Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 @diddiYou can find it hereP.S.: no one is using torrents any more Quote
SunLion Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 (edited) Hi diddi,Here is a version of InstallWatch25c created with Inno by maxXPsoft:http://www.mediafire...ec1h4mddb8e3qdu Edited May 26, 2012 by xspeed_one Quote
bphlpt Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 @diddiYou can find it hereP.S.: no one is using torrents any more @caphp, you are wrong on both counts. Your not-so-helpful link just points essentially to Google, as I know you know, so it pointed nowhere. At least you could have filled in the search field for him. I don't consider myself a total idiot, but it took me a few moments to find a valid link for InstallWatchPro.v2.5c, freeware, which was what Legolash2o reccommended using. Having the correct app name helps. Here is one possible link http://www.brothersoft.com/installwatch-download-9407.html. Also torrents are very much alive and well, especially since several of the free hosting services no longer allow file sharing. In fact things like DriverPacks are officially distributed ONLY by torrent.Cheers and Regards Quote
