jamesbebby Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 (edited) The K-Lite Codec Pack has a couple of major advantages compared to other codec packs: * It is updated frequently. So it is always up-to-date with the newest and/or best components. * All components have been carefully selected for specific purposes. It is not just a random bunch of stuff thrown together. * It is very user-friendly and easy to use. * Works great with Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center. But also with all other DirectShow players, such as Media Player Classic, BS.Player, ZoomPlayer, and others. * The installation is fully customizable, meaning that you are able to install just those components that you really want. * The pack has many options, which allows you to tweak it to your own specific needs and preferences. * Uninstallation removes everything that was installed by the pack. Including all registry keys. All changes are properly undone. * It is extremely easy to make a fully customized unattended installation with the integrated wizard. * It does not contain any codecs or filters that are known to be bad, buggy or unstable. In fact, the installer is able to detect and disable several known troublemakers. * It tries to avoid potential conflicts with other codecs installed on your computer. The installer is able to detect and remove over 100 different codec and filter packs. * The installer is able to detect broken codecs and filters on your system, and helps you to remove them. * It is a very complete package, containing everything you need to play your movies. * The pack has options to activate thumbnail generation in Windows Explorer for several popular video file formats, which are by default not thumbnailed in Explorer. * The pack automatically configures Media Center to recognize all common audio and video file formats, so that such files show up in your media library. * This pack has a huge user base. This means that problems are found and resolved quickly. * There are different variants of the pack. From very small to large. * The pack is suitable for both novice and expert users.info. http://www.codecguide.com/download_mega.htmSilent Installlink. http://rapidshare.com/files/303625006/kLite_Mega_Codec_Pack_V5.4_silent.exeCRC32: 9f6fba58MD5: a8389377f446ab59f45078c34e809873SHA-1: 9294e96691ac6083547f4db14d8aaf4ef03352d9file size. 23.7 MBAddonSorry not guna upload the whole file any more just the file 2 make it, All that is needed is a drag & drop of the above exe, and its done.link. http://rapidshare.com/files/303625009/Addon_Files_4_kLite_Mega_Codec_Pack_V5.4.rarCRC32: 16533114MD5: 0029ea377b5ade3ed39569334028b578SHA-1: d11a24b32fca9bbcdb1b601d3518503ca8291004file size. 4.00 KB Edited November 7, 2009 by jamesbebby Quote

Nomadturk Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Dude, here is a quick updated version of mine. Not for nLite though, this is to update your installer manually.Installs it with "Lots of Stuff" parameters as well.It also includes Quick Time Lite Alternative 2.9.0(You may remove it from within the Winrar SFX archive, if you know how.)Insert this to your SVCPACK folder or your RunOnceEx stage.Download K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 4.9.0 + QuickTime Alternative 2.9.0Size: 28.8MbMD5: de2c2ffb871c0dbf525ef67ad8e4443e Quote

Maybe I drag&dropped wrong; please tell me exactly what to do. Edited October 23, 2009 by Kees030 Quote

jamesbebby Posted October 30, 2009 Author Posted October 30, 2009 hi, just updated to V5.3!cheers james Quote
Kees030 Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Thanks for this pack and for keeping it up to date :thumbsup_anim: Because downloading from rapidshare is time consuming -especially with multiple files- I'd prefer a posting of just the addon. Extracting the .rar to get the silent installer seems faster and easier to me. Quote

Guest Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 hi, yeah but i dont deal with addons ne more i use vista & Win7, and i got a site that i post on and there dont use addons just silent installs.cheers jameswell i think there is a better way since you use only the switch installer why don't you just make a spolier of "the entries and a small tutorial of how to make the addon"that i think would be a little better for you Quote
