Hi. I would like integrage the last versions of Live Messenger & Mail to my ISO, but I have some problem with your addon maker.

- I can create my addon for Messenger and Mail with the second option for uninstall. First option give me a error.

- The generated .7Z size is 26,021 KB.

- The addon can be integrated with nLite & a ISO with WinXP SP3 without problemes.

- And after finish I see that Messenger and Mail wansn't installed correctly:

Only exist two files was created:

\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail\wlmfilter.dat

\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger\msigms32.dll

I'll more testing and recolect more info about this problem.

One question: what is the meaning or which is the goal of the Page 6 for extract something, if I mark extract Live Messenger, then appear a dialog box "Open WLM folder to patch Files" ( first picture on my last post ). I don't know what I must to do here. I try to open some Live Messenger folder, but anyway appear a error message ( second picture ).

I just test a new addon created from other computer, but I still get the path error like before.

It seem your code import some path from the host Windows were is executed, and save it into the addon.

So, if the paths are diferent betwen the computer were was created the addon, and the path of the destination computer, the addon will fail their installation.

well i made that "Open WLM Folder" if you are using A-Patch or something like that

to patch the new files

since there is an error that mean it can't open it

try to press cancel

in the mean while i will download and see the problem now

Open WLM Folder shouldn't appear unless you pressed

Modified Installer

i will go and check the code for that

from what i see

it couldn't find the cat file

so what i want you to do is

first uninstall the hole suite

then Goto

%Commonprogramfiles%\Windows Live\.cache

remove all files there

re install the suite using this

something is making the code go nuts

and that missing file can do that

well after almost a month

i manged to produce that error

for some reason i made a mistake in 3.4

an easy one which broke a big part in the hole code

after fixing the first bug there was another one

when you run the exe file

that seems to be fixed now

nothin new just fixing bugs

I had the same issue described by Bedfford with 3.4. I tried 3.4.1 and it succesfully built the addon. I'm going to test it now. However, with 3.4.1, I can no longer use APATCH on Messenger?

well you need to use modified installer

the tool then can extract files

and use A-Patch

well this tool can detect the lang it self

i made it that way

it would read the lang

if not

k i got some free time now

so any one got any ideas i'm gonna work on version 3.5

so what do you guys think ?

i'm planning on adding support of choosing the msi files to make a lite version

and choose what to add and what not to without breaking the installer

and also support for Runonce installer switch

i'm planning also to better use 7zip installer for better config.txt commands

ok despite i'm a bit busy right now i'm trying to work on V 3.5

but it's moving a bit slow right now

but here is what is done until now

from next version the cmd would be out no more exe so if any one wants to continue if i stopped one day

removed choosing extract files << now when you choose Modified installer all gets extracted

you can make only switch installer now

also new option is under construction now you can choose to

make an individual installer for each product

also added a tweak to hide Windows Live Suite from windows update if Modified installer is choosen

that what was done until now hope if there is any ideas soon

Edit: for Messenger Plus Request i started a part of making a true addon

but not yet the skin and scripts they would need some times to fix some errors that occurs

ok as usual trying to finish the new version

sadly it's going very slow after by mistake removing some versions i had to get back to the older backup and start from first (from 3.4.1)

so until now here is the change log

1-Fixed some bugs in CacheMaker Reading values

2-The Fonts gets copied directly from the Fonts dir (True Integration)

3-Extracting All Files in Modified Installer (For Smaller Size)

4-Choosing Extra to Add (you can choose to add Windows Live Call,Contacts etc...)

5-Fixed the Numbers in listing in 64 Bit

6-Changed Checking Version and Language Detector (to Write in the Entries)

7-Modified the Sfx to Request Admin (Win 7)

8-Changed 32 and 64 Bit Checking System

9-Now it wouldn't Show up in Windows Update(Modified Installer)

10-You can Make now only SwitchInstaller

that what i have done until now

does any one wants any thing to be added to this version or should i release this one?

and about MSG Plus the part i written is lost so i will write a tutorial soon in my MSG Plus Addon to add skins but there might be some errors i will try to fix

this version will have a few fixes for some error in some strings (Nothin serious)

also if you have the full 138 MB the addon maker will work differently

this is the last build to support windows xp after that wave 4 wouldn't support it

will see if there is a work around then

For Windows Live 4 my tool is out of support

i will rebuild this tool start from build 4 using autoit

and also it seems it doesn't install on XP i will see if there is a work around to install it

hope to remove from the setup file the condition but that will run from 7 or vista

that is the bad news :S

so it might take a while from start on 2 days and i will finish my exams

if any one wants be a tester for this tool
