After MSItoinf, extract with 7-zip the setup.msi, and take the files, example extract SkypeSetup.msi, and take from them the Product.cab, and add in SkypeSetup.inf

[SourceDisksNames]
   1="Skype Setup Files","Product.cab",,"i386"

or extract 7z1514-x64.msi and add in 7z1514-x64.inf

[SourceDisksNames]
   1="7-Zip Files","WIN51",,"i386"

so you've almost done the true addon

Ciao.

Thank you for guiding.

When LIP is extracted there is not a cab file, only bunch of files, but there ware a duplicate names of mui files related with themes, and I have found them in the INF file, so I've replaced them with the appropriate names from the left side. Examlpe:

ShellStyle.dll.mui -> home_ss.dll.mui

three times for every theme file. Is it this correct or not, and what I should do next?

  • Did you use the latest tool (dated August 15th) for that??? With the previous build before this it didn't work as I explained in my post. I'll build the addon with this latest tool and get back to you
