well about updates

since i'm busy i didn't release the update addon

for a simple reason it's an antivirus that mean it gets updated a lot

but i got a small idea

a small addon maker for definitions

i may do it in the end of this week

when i have time and thx for your reply

so making an addon maker and give it a try gonna be hard

but i will try to make an addon maker that have the links

any progress from this? i'd love to be able to have an addon + definitions. even if they will eventually become obsolete, i think the subsequent definition updates would not be as large as the first download.

you can integrate it with RVM integrator and it would work fine

if any one wants to get the latest beta version

and after download you can go to help --> Upgrade to latest version you will download a newer version also

i didn't make an addon of this version until it go final or at lest a public beta

and clearer messaging around definition updates

This version of Microsoft Security Essentials will be released

also i can report that when i press on "clean computer" it's a lot faster now no more lag

I've tried to many times to count. My install will work perfectly. But MSSE won't be installed when Windows finishes..

well i tested it over and over and it seems to be working with me

i don't know why doesn't it work with some of you

but can you try to extract it and run the setup.exe manually and check if it's working ?

Are you using a VLK 'Corp' disk or an OEM disk. The reason I am asking....When I use a pre-activated source MSE integrates fine. If I use a standard OEM disk and enter OEM key it will not install MSE because MSE will only install on a VALIDATED and ACTIVATED copy of Windows.

So that is the mystery. :worthy:

It's OEM i don't know how to auto activate it with a slipstream. of o add "AutoActivation=Yes" in the i believe it's winnt.sys file (where ever it has the unattended information) i always need to activate it.

That is why it does not work.

Is your computer a branded PC like Dell Hp ect.?

if any one still interested in trying to fix the activation problem

if you want to give this way a try you will need to copy the files

well try to get the wpa.dbl and compress it with cab then add it to I386

and give it a try maybe it would work

Is it a single-user OEM or SLP-OEM (Dell, HP, Sony, etc) copy?

If it's SLP-OEM, try my SLP-OEM preactivation addon.

I don't use this addon, but I'll try it out and see if it works then on my OEM system.
