Reason Seagate use 4 Platters in 1 TB HDD means 250 GB on Each platter. I having both HDD Seagate is not reliable if u uses it coninuiosly for more than 6 hours in a day. I have replace my 1 TB HDD 2 times in just 4 months. Where as Samsung have less platters in HDD thats why its 30% faster than other HDD.

The reviews look great for the HDD also.I just wish it was in stock at NewEgg Edited November 6, 200915 yr by LUZR4LIFE
November 6, 200915 yr Please don't use the WD green...They are very misleading with them. The drive speed is ACTUALLY 5200 not 7200 as advertised.
November 6, 200915 yr Author Please don't use the WD green...They are very misleading with them. The drive speed is ACTUALLY 5200 not 7200 as advertised. They don't even show a speed. WD site doesn't even show a speed for it. I don't really care to much for speed since it will be used for media. I am leaning toward the Seagate Barracuda 7200.12.
November 6, 200915 yr what will you be using it for? backing up files, i like external. for.. other stuff.. i guess internal is ok. ps. i think wd caviar black seems to be a good performer
November 6, 200915 yr Author OK, after doing some research I went with the Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EADS. Edited November 6, 200915 yr by LUZR4LIFE
November 6, 200915 yr I dealt with many 1tb drives in the past, and personally i think WD are the best, their MAYBE slighly more pricey compare to similar sized other HDD brands, but you get what you pay for. All my HDD'S are WD 1tb with 2x 500GB now in one system. My old drives were Samsung Spinpoint 500gb's, and their not bad either. For some reason i dont like seagate HDD's anymore, even though i had them for just over a year, but then got rid of them via ebay. November 7, 200915 yr Sorry for being late to this party. This is the same drive I was planning on buying for my next RAID NAS. The reason the spindle speed isn't listed is because it's variable.Link to page with video example.spec sheetIntelliPower
