About this release:

- Just Nero, all other Nero junk and bloat removed. The WMPBurn-plugin is included however.

- No toolbars and silly weather channels either.

- MSI installer, supports AD, Admin Setup, etc.

- 7-Zip SVCPACK Addon (for the switchless installer, simply extract it from the archive).

Notes:

- Supported languages: Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English (default), Finnish, French, Japanese, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai and Turkish.

- Since this is not a freeware application, you'll have to provide your own serial. Just change the reg-file below, and import it from your preferred location (cmdlines.txt, RunOnce(Ex), WPI-script, whatever). Please note that this is a retail version of Nero, so OEM keys probably won't work! Nero 6 retail keys start with 1A. See the Nero 6 FAQ for more information.

- Nero 6.6.1.15 supports LightScribe. However, the LightScribe driver is not included. Use the LightScribe Driver addon by jamesbebby instead (it's a far more recent version than the original one that ships with Nero 6.6.x.x).

Major addon overhaul. Base package is English only now, and all languages are individual packages (you may install multiple language packs or even all of them).

Very nice! I like the .reg option for registration.

I still think this was the best Nero version. Although the new Recode in Nero 9 is very good at duplicating DVDs.

But I haven't yet tried the Nero 9 free version yet.

Nero 6 is my favorite Nero version as well. And I haven't had any troubles with DVDs with it either.

Nero 9 Free is very limited adware, and about 60MB compressed (vs. the 12MB of this Lite package).
