ScOOt3r Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 i used this on vista, and it looks pretty sweet.. now only if you can make 1 full file that will replace all the existing ones then when an update comes in i wont have to reintergrate it.. heheNice work RickscOOt3r! Quote
ricktendo Posted March 27, 2007 Author Posted March 27, 2007 This is true with most my addons... Just makecab of the INF and copy it and the CAB to i386 overwriting the old files Quote
DarkNite Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Wow, after using this all I had to do was track down 3 more png's for my favorite games and I was done. That's nowhere near the hassle I had getting rocketdock to look nice enough after my last fresh install. Thank you. Quote
ricktendo Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 You can modify it and add your PNG files into the addon also... Just add them to [sourceDisksFiles] and to [icon.Files] Example:[sourceDisksFiles]MyNewFile.png=1My2ndNewFile.png=1[icon.Files]MyNewFile.pngMy2ndNewFile.pngThen Add them to RocktDoc.cab and repack the addon... While youre at it you can overwrite the settings.ini file with your current saved settings and you will have those also Quote
kiki burgh Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 ... repack the addon...hi rick! how do you repack an addon? which tool would be best to use? i love the mac look works like charm ... works well together with sidebar addon too ... thanks! Quote
ricktendo Posted May 6, 2007 Author Posted May 6, 2007 Well If you have Kels UberPack installed you can use CabTool in the SendTo menu... Just Right Click on the Extracted Folder and Send To CabTool, it will then create a .CAB file with the same name as the folder.I on the other hand use TUGZip to make my .CAB files Quote
babu Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Sir i am a noob i request you to how i can Install the AddOn manually Quote

ricktendo Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 Thats nothing, it is for saving your personal settings and adding them to the addon so that when you reformat the doc will be as you saved it last Quote
kiki burgh Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 hi rick! would there be a way like gadget settings addon creation in sidebar for rocketdock where icons can be customized & preset for integration so that its set upon hitting the desktop after install? thanks! Quote
ricktendo Posted May 25, 2007 Author Posted May 25, 2007 Not really... I need the names of the icons.png files for the addon builder... Its not that hard to add new icons to the addon (add the icons files to the .CAB archive and edit [sourceDisksFiles] and to [icon.Files] sections) and just add your settings.ini also so your icon settings and layout are added Quote
