this reminds me of all those 'memory booster' software that companies used to come out with.

i seriously can't see something like this making a significant difference.

according to that author he got 1-5 frames better with it than without.

and from this picture http://images.betanews.com/screenshots/1239033313-1.png it seems like it mainly disables some services (freeing up more ram) which i suspect is probably the cause for the slight increase in frames.

hi, yeah i get what your sayin about them 'memory booster' crap apps! but like i said 4 me it does save alot of battery on my laptop when watchin DVD's in bed! its just an easy way of killin all the taskbar apps that normally run in the background.
