April 13, 201014 yr Author I don't understand the use of it, you're really pushing it, until you see the smoke I see a difference in performance and my temps get no higher than 40C. I also wanted to hit the 4GHZ mark. I will see what I can do with it as a TRI and QUAD also.
April 13, 201014 yr I think a processor can successfully overclock to at least 40%. I m using Intel dual core E200 2.2 Ghz @ 3.1 Ghz with no pain.
April 13, 201014 yr Well I could overclock my Core i5, but I just don't trust that Intel stock cooler. I will have to invest in better and more silent cooler like Scythe Zipang2, before doing any overclocking.

I just primed for 2 hours with X4@3.5. I am going to clock it higher since the temps were fine. So yes, I got a 555BE that runs like a 965. :thumbsup_anim:
April 13, 201014 yr Welcome to 4GHz club :thumbsup_anim: Testing with LINX 20 loops is strongly recommended to be sure, that Your OC is stable :icon_cool:

April 16, 201014 yr Check what these guys did with Ati Radeon card http://www.wincert.net/news/hardware/2030-asus-radeon-hd-5870-graphics-card-reaches-15ghz-clock-speed.html
April 16, 201014 yr Author Check what these guys did with Ati Radeon card http://www.wincert.n...lock-speed.htmlThat is insane.I was drinking most of the day yesterday so I never updated my 555BE testing. I have it stable as a Quad@3.5 with 1.4v.
April 17, 201014 yr i overclocked 2ghz processor to 2.10 and it frequently got overheated and restarted automatically now back at 2ghz.

April 17, 201014 yr Author Agreed, at which temperature PC restarted? Are you using stock cooler?Like N1K said. Most CPU's can be upped 100-300mhz on a stock cooler. Edited April 17, 201014 yr by LUZR4LIFE
