Hope notLOL Well tbh my computer hates me sometimes... I want it to do something and its just says NO right in my face and does a little spaz-out and then works.. lol Quote
LUZR4LIFE Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Nice build but I would go with the i7 930, we sell them for 199 at MicroCenter.Stick with the H50 for cooling.I think Corsair makes the best PSU (which is made by SeaSonic) or get a SeaSonic. For the video card I would get the XFX version, XFX has the best warranties. How is everything going snakecracker? Quote
NIM Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 I have the same MBO, CPU and Graphic card. All I can say, go for it! I also bought Corsair, but cheaper XMS3, since I don't plan to overclock. Quote

Fine, just finished my ICT BTEC First course with an A grade, I'm now moving up to BTEC National. (I'm not sure if you have the same levels?) now i'm just visiting friends and family... Plus saving my money up.You?I have the same MBO, CPU and Graphic card. All I can say, go for it! Also what PSU are you using N1K? Quote

She goes to summer school Mon-Thurs and a reading program on Sunday. So we have a tight schedule. Quote
NIM Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 The new rig is running fine, although I have to say that I haven't noticed improvement over my previous configuration based on Intel Q6600 and 4GB of XMS2 RAM.You can stick with the Dominator as the prices have gone down since I bought my machine, but IMO you would also be satisfied with XMS3 if you want to save a few bucks. That is a tight schedule, althought if I was her my brain would die if i had summer school... lolThe new rig is running fine, although I have to say that I haven't noticed improvement over my previous configuration based on Intel Q6600 and 4GB of XMS2 RAM.You can stick with the Dominator as the prices have gone down since I bought my machine, but IMO you would also be satisfied with XMS3 if you want to save a few bucks.I think I will feel abit of improvement from my rig I have now. (Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 + 4GB DDR2 XMS2 800MHz + Nvidia 8600GT 256MB) I think I might but i'm not sure yet as time comes I'll look into it. Also I'm thinking of going with Corsair PSU... Quote
NIM Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Yeah, forgot to tell you. I am using Corsair HX 650W modular PSU. You can't go wrong with that one. Quote

NIM Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Open case has a larger cooler which supposed to be more silent. Also, cooler on the open case can be easily changed, but not on the closed case. Those are the reasons why I've bought open case.. Quote
