Make a NEW folder and then highlight all the windows CD rom or DVD files and copy them to it

Name the foleder C:\XPCD or C:\VISTADVD and browse to it with nLite or vLite and begin customizing

Interesting. :ermm: Didn't mean to offend you, I was asking a simple question. Sarcasm is hard to express on the internet, and I don't even attempt it.

Did it come with OEM restore discs? If so, you can't use nLite unless you can get the I386 folder and all the contents of it. But also keep in mind, if you can manage to get an nLitened install disc from a retail XP disc, your going to have to get all the drivers and stuff. It becomes a real pain to get them all.

you really need to source an original cd for a good outcome, weither you buy this or not is upto you. an untouched version is what you need as an original image

look for C:/I386 You might be able to use that. Warning!! Copy that folder. DO NOT use the original. Something bad could happen.
