Hi Guys,

It's my first try to integrate .Net Framework with nlite's RunOnce. So, I need some help here....

Actually, I am pretty mush novice to nlite ; having said that I have integrated few update packs and some softwares but directly adding them to Addons and Hotfixes Section in nlite not in RunOnce Section.

So, How do I integrate this .Net Framework AIO pack (or say any addon of this type - RunOnce) in nlite ?

What's the procedure here? I mean can anyone give me step by step instructions for it ?

Thanks !

user_hidden made this pack as an addon to integrate easily like any other addon.

Yeah I know this... and I am very thankful for it.

But as I say in my 'HELP' question - ....directly adding them to Addons and Hotfixes Section in nlite, not in RunOnce Section . I think it is pretty simple and straight 'HELP' question, isn't it ?

Hi,

In @Ricktendo64's .net Framework 4 .0 he fixes "slow XP boot may take considerably longer" problem by using " -ain" code. Is there any extra code for .net framework 4.0 to fix this problem in your add on?

they are NOT new they are old.

seems MU is screwing up again by offering old outdated updates.

i will fix the installers later to block the old KB's

if anyone has my previous installer to this one PM me

if you can and are willing to upload it somewhere for

me to download as i lost my older backups.

MU/WU should now be ok and not be offering those old KB's.

as I stated above: "seems MU is screwing up again by offering old outdated updates."

MS fixed the issue at their servers. the installer is fine as always.

not sure if this one that showed up today is newer or older.

maybe you can shed a bit of light for everyone..

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update for .NET versions 2.0 through 3.5 (KB951847) x86

ok.. i made a new disk and now no new frameworks being asked from update webpage.. :gleam:

strange how they just throw them old updates in there a lil while back but there not needed now..

Hi!

I've discovered an issue with AIO pack and Microsoft Update!

When you install any .NET update from Microsoft Update, it erases ALL the registry keys which created with MUREGFIX.reg!

Since you - user_hidden - are updating .NET AIO pack instantly, this problem only counts when the users want to update only, without downloading .NET AIO.

When users updating, those registry keys are being deleted, and on next Microsoft Update it will offer old updates!

This problem exists also with Automatic Updates!

You can easily check this by installing aio version 2012-may on a clean windows, and then let MU update.NETs, and next time MU offers .NET SP1!!

I have found a solution for this problem also! :)

We just need to set READ-ONLY ALL the registry entries in MUREGFIX.reg!

Actually, user_hidden, may i suggest you to put the following into Install.vbs? (in aio installer)

ws.Run("regini.exe MUREGFIX.txt"),0,True

And of course we need a MUREGFIX.txt with contents:

(These are the entries in the current MUREGFIX.reg, which are needed to be set read-only)

"[8]" means read-only for "everyone group".

I don't know if we need read-only for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\clr_optimization_v4.0.30319_32 also (this is actually updated by MU: "Start"=dword:00000003 to -> dword:00000002) and for KB932471.reg also...

Thank you for the great job anyways!

Fenyo
