ricktendo Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Microsoft is saying to people RTM did not leak, but it does look like RTM to me...MS is lying Quote
Rhor Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I will not include links, but go to Softpedia if you want to give it a try. Quote
newsposter Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Considering that the release might well happen in 72 hours or so why take a chance on an unverifiable release? Quote
Rhor Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Considering that the release might well happen in 72 hours or so why take a chance on an unverifiable release?I kinda trust Softpedia. The real problem for me now is how to integrate it on the installation files... Quote
Legolash2o Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Ive got it installed, and have integrated it into my ISOs Quote
Rhor Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I tried to do it with W7 Toolkit... no luck.Tried it with Distribution Shares and Configuration Sets on WAIK... no luck either. Quote
Legolash2o Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 RT7Lite integrates Service pack 1, W7T does not support SP1 integration. Quote
Rhor Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Thank you. I will try it.Do you probably know if it is possible to do it with WAIK only? Quote
Rhor Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 RT7Lite it is then...Thank you.Great program W7 Toolkit BTW. Quote
Legolash2o Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Thanks, W7T is OK. RT7Lite looks good/better though lol. Quote
Legolash2o Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 For those who want to know, W7T will soon have SP1 support...You will be able to select multiple images and it will automatically go through each one integrating SP1, for those who like to integrate everything into all their images Quote
ricktendo Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Niiiiiiiiice...I just finished doing my first reverse sp1 integration, it takes a very long time (especially when capturing) Quote
Legolash2o Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 You should of just used RT7Lite 2.6.0 Beta lmao, alot easier Quote
ricktendo Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 You should of just used RT7Lite 2.6.0 Beta lmao, alot easier But then I will never learn...I was too dependent on vLite before, when I was forced to use WAIK is when I realized that its pretty neet tool Quote
newsposter Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 (edited) I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Nuhi may have had some influence on the current incarnation of WAIK & imagex; MSFT hired him and moved him to Seattle what, two years ago now? Edited January 17, 2011 by newsposter Quote
TheBlueBear Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 Considering that the release might well happen in 72 hours or so why take a chance on an unverifiable release? No, the official SP1 release will not happen until IE9 has gone Gold within MS, which is due in late february...As a reminder, IE9 has not even been compiled as a Release Candidate, only an official Beta (now quite outdated) and some Technical Previews. IE9 RC is planned for early february with the RTM out around early march (late february at best). It all comes down to saying that if any wants to wait for the official Windows 7/Server 2008 R2 SP1 release before applying it, you will have to wait for a few weeks more, which would be too bad not to do so (but anyone remains free to do whatever he wants to so...)Even if more than sixty KB patches/updates have been released since Nov. 19, '7601.17514.101119-1850' is the final SP1 assembly. You are all free to give it a try for yourself and welcome to give your feedback on it. :icon_cool: Quote
Kelsenellenelvian Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 What kinda bull is that?IE9 HAS NOTHING To do with SP1 For Win7!Please quote a source... Quote
ricktendo Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I heard the same rumor, MS wants to do a double whammy of a realease, sp1 and ie9 Quote
Rhor Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 It would pointless for Microsoft to do that.Anyway, the version I got from Softpedia seems valid. I integrated on my Win7 USB stick and Windows Update gives me no aditional files left to download. Quote
TheBlueBear Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 What kinda bull is that?IE9 HAS NOTHING To do with SP1 For Win7!Please quote a source...I have never stated IE9 had anything to do with SP1 but as ricktendo64 wrote, MS has always implied (search for past articles on the subject) that they wanted to make a double release, even if both developments were separate. It is just marketing stuff related to IE9, in order for customers to get both updates/upgrades.The point now is, because of the leaked final SP1 assembly, MS are wondering whether they should release SP1 some time before IE9, which is unlikely in the end (internal sources at MS). Sometimes, things do not go according to plan...As I wrote you are free to try, I am not trying to convince anyone of anything, only relating facts...Regards, Quote
Legolash2o Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) I wouldn't of minded if IE9 came with SP1. Edited January 21, 2011 by Legolash2o Quote
Legolash2o Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) When is IE9 due for release? I don't think RC is out yet lol Edited January 21, 2011 by Legolash2o Quote
