treesmoker Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 (edited) Right then, I've tried starting with a fresh SP3 rip, `then intergrating user_hidden's latest QFE pack, and at the same time intergrating Onepiece's Internet Explorer 8 with all updates + Onepiece's WMP11 Addon - all intergrated with RVM Integrator 1.6.1b2.1When the OS loads I get 2-3 error messages and in the start menu there is no Internet Explorer, just a "Internet" icon which takes me to the "how to connect to the internet" choose from ISP ....blah blah blahAlso Windows Media player is gone completly from the All Programs list, am I doing something wrong guys? Also after using nLite i'm still getting the restarting issue half way through the GUI setupLast Session.ini[Main]Env = 1.4.9.1 - 2.0.50727.5444.Microsoft Windows Kelsenellenelvian Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Coupla issues here:You are running this in Win7 This HAS been known to cause issues before. Why are you using BOTH rvmintegrator & nLite??? Just use nLite. Quote
treesmoker Posted July 17, 2011 Author Posted July 17, 2011 1) Yes i'm running Win7 64-Bit2) tried just using nLite and had soooo many issues, RVMi works so much better Quote
Kelsenellenelvian Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Win7 Could be the cause of your issue. Also I am willing to bet 2 of the errors you are getting are frmedyn.dll and srclient not found errors..This is cause by a missing\incorectly added inf file. Something is messing the integration up.Try Runnin all of it in a XP loaded VM. Quote
treesmoker Posted July 17, 2011 Author Posted July 17, 2011 (edited) okay i'll try the whole process from my XP pro Dell latitude D6310I'll Report back soon!Right I might have sort of solved my problem, I tried intergrating:SP3 + YumeYao_IE8_Addon_Clean_ENU_1_4_8 + YumeYao_Repair_IE8_cosmetic_problems_addon + nLite Session = everythings working 100% no error messages at all So maybe it was just WMP11 that was the problem, or OnePiece's packs just didn't like user_hidden QFE pack??Good news is I'm not too fussed about WMP11, it was more about IE8 being silently installed, as it takes forever on windows update, still might try out your suggestions though Edited July 17, 2011 by treesmoker Quote
Mr_Smartepants Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 RVMi is so much better than nlite. I had problems also until I stopped using nlite a few years ago.I've also found various problems with OnePiece's work, so I've stopped using anything with OnePiece's name on it and I now have zero problems.Kel's right. Sometimes running these older utilities in a Win7 environment can cause their own problems. XP in a VM is one way around the problem. Quote
treesmoker Posted July 17, 2011 Author Posted July 17, 2011 Okay thanks guysDo either of you know a good working WMP11 addon? Quote
OnePiece Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 (edited) All other addons are based structures using OnePiece AddOn, onepiece drawn are based on the structure PURE True Mod, inspired by the true model of the fool, I think you all know who and (NUHI), and after the experience of old as moderators and Kels himself and many many more (not to misunderstand, not copied from onepiece addon, but use paving structure, so someone says, uses the spread addon, but not with the name OnePiece addon??? hmmmmmmmmm) All moderators and other addon makers are friends, and many have been to me personally to help more than once, without excluding anyone, so we exclude categorically that the problem is onepiece addon, I do not know the reasons for the comments of some users, however it seems trope hmmmmmmmmmm the comment in any way if we take a example update pack, it seems that has been used by users of miles, almost more than 200,000 in RyanVM forum more than 100,000 in wincert ect ect, it seems that only one user to problems hmmmmmmm, ok though, and each of them in the right think as he wishes, but a certain propaganda seems a bit unfair, when it is not true what they say ect ectabout the problem and is very easy to run nlite slowly, and watch later the addon or option executed the cd is broken, and certainly as 1000000000 other cases, the reason and the incorrect use of nlite from same userCiao a tutti.PS: or not written to create any kind of controversy, and all OKKKKKKK, and only one response due, given the comment that some users find it a little hmmmmmmmm Edited July 17, 2011 by OnePiece Quote

ricktendo Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 The problem is you guys removing components after you integrate updatepacks, nLite will go nuts and delete every CHM/HLP file if you for example remove help...this will break the install if you use my updatepack so I protect files and components using my entreis.ini and I tell people not to remove components in separate sessions (because then I cant protect any files)Updatepack makers should take advantage of this nLite feature to make their updatepacks idiot proof;Este sección previene que Componentes necesarios sean removidos por nLite (v1.4.9 en adelante)[NeededComponents]185,187,211,239,241,273,319,321,534,830,849,934,938,949,1411,1631; # Componente Dependencia Inactivo;181 ="Administrador Multimedia del Sistema" |WMP11 (X);185 ="Núcleo de Internet Explorer" |IE8+MU;187 ="Internet Explorer" |IE8+MU;209 ="Agente MS" |SrchAsst (X);211 ="Actualizaciones Automáticas" |IE8+MU;239 ="Coordinador de Transacciones Distribuidas ('DTC')" |MU;241 ="Transf. treesmoker Posted July 17, 2011 Author Posted July 17, 2011 (edited) okay so your saying OnePiece's packs will work fine as long as we don't remove certain comps that are needed for the installation, okay that makes sense.Rick from looking at my last session can you tell me which components need to be unchecked for removal? Edited July 17, 2011 by treesmoker Quote
ricktendo Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I think you may be deleting a CHM or HLP file with nLite that a INF file is instructed to copy, if it does not find this file then you will get an error during setup...OnePiece does not like to use txtsetup to copy files he likes INF because you can uninstall it via add/remove windows componentsCheck the INF's of addons you integrate see if you find any CHM or HLP files and add them to the keep files list of nLite Quote
