ccl0 Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 forum seems quicker and profile settings menu is better laid out and easier to navigate Quote
Sumo Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 I liked it tooo.New mod cp is much better.Good job man. Quote
ccl0 Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 well i discovered something i didnt like.when you are trying to embed a link, and click on the link icon in the topic tools, a box pops up. in the old website you had 2 spaces. one for the actual link and one for a text description.afterward it automatically converted the link to clickable text.now, there is just one box for the link..and i'm not sure how to convert the link to clickable text Quote
NIM Posted July 20, 2011 Author Posted July 20, 2011 TESTdouble click on the word you'd like to link. Once marked, click on the link icon above the text box and type the URL. Quote
ricktendo Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Nice I notice it only works on stuff that is already hyperlinked Quote
user_hidden Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Just noticed today that the "MARK FORUMS READ" link at bottom of forum is gone.Yes I know that double clicking an icon next to each forum will mark it read but kind oftedious to do that for all forums. Quote
NIM Posted July 21, 2011 Author Posted July 21, 2011 Check the bottom again, below the white part of the forum. You have a link 'Mark Community Read' P.S. Please use non animated avatar/image. This is very distracting Quote
user_hidden Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 ah a new link name.....got it.will change the avatar Quote
user_hidden Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 i agree that last one was a bit hypnotizing Quote
ricktendo Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Bug: Cant click/dl img's with url bbcodeExample: Quote
*Reaper* Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I do miss the subtitle part....The line right underneath the thread title...I used it for the file version....Overall, love the look... Quote
NIM Posted July 22, 2011 Author Posted July 22, 2011 Hey Reaper, can you put the file version in the brackets after the title? How that sounds? Quote
*Reaper* Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 (edited) We can N1K....One good thing about the way it was, when you changed the version number in the subtitle, it didnt changethe link to the actual thread....Example...http://www.wincert.n...pic/7239-7-zip/But now when you add the version number at the end.....http://www.wincert.n...7239-7-zip-922/I dont know if that will affect things like the download lists....Before, I would just change the version in the download list...But, might have to change the entire link in the list now....(It seems to redirect, so may not be a problem)I personally just thought it looked "cleaner" the other way..Either way..... Still like the new look... Edited July 22, 2011 by *Reaper* Quote
NIM Posted July 23, 2011 Author Posted July 23, 2011 Yes, this bug was fixed as reported here:http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php/topic/8341-404-error-when-editing-topic-test/page__pid__74310#entry74310I presume you're talking about that issue Quote
ricktendo Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 What he is saying N1K that it was better when he did not have to put the version number in the top box because it changed/broke the old URL...for example if he had a link to the topic in another (part of this) forum it would no longer work after he updatedHe used the description to add the new version info to avoid this problemI think thats what he meant Quote
*Reaper* Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 (edited) Yeah.. Thats what I meant I started putting the version now in the "tagged" box...Shows up next to the thread, and doesnt affect the thread link either...Look at the Windows 7 Toolkit AddOn forum and I have about 5 like that and tell me what you guys and gals think...http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php/forum/180-windows-7-toolkit-addons/ Edited July 23, 2011 by *Reaper* Quote
