I've edited the previous two posts, one with an important tweak, the other please delete - look at the previous page.

Also, about the Do not allow Windows to turn off Network Adapters tweak KrX wrote about in the post above, I had it in a deleted post - not by me (???), and it's not working if added to an offline image because of the CurrentControlSet not beeing set for an offline image. However, it doesn't work also with ControlSet001 & ControlSet002.

So it doesn't work in its original form...

My suggestion is to delete this tweak from the post above and also never adding it to Win Toolkit, since it doesn't work 100% in any form for an offline image.

Ok, redundant however, that tweak isn't working at all. And please delete it from KrX's post, or ''spoiler'' it, it's a killer for the scroll button

And an important request: Please add to all the tweaks description the EXACT changes made by that tweak to the registry (the exact tweak copyable text).

I know it's a dull request, but as Windows 8 is out, we can check the compatibility of those windows 7 tweaks easier in most cases, by testing them on a live system with a ctrl-c/ctrl-v classic option . Also, some tweaks are named differently out there in the www, so avoiding duplicate tweaks would be also easier (both when adding them in AIO, and also here, in this thread).

I never knew that and was always using CurrentControlSet for my reg settings... does that mean I should change them since my integrations are always offline images and rarely live systems?

Remove a few context menu items

This may help someone out but i have found in windows 7 that if you leave the context menu on, you still have the option to share folders within libraries (well, you get all the way through until you are asked to input an administrator username and password) and Include in library, also, if you have MS Groove installed (Shared Folder Synchronization) this shows up too. I have found thre Reg keys which need to be deleted to remove these options in the context menu ...

Remove "Share with" from Context Menu

Delete the following Reg entries (can be done via Group Policy):

This needs to be a .reg file which you run to delete the entry, it will not work via the Registry part in Group Policy

A little registry tweak for guys who don't know.

You need to change "Shell" REG_SZ value in regedit. Go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

in regedit, and navigate to "Shell" value. Double click, and change

explorer.exe

to

explorer.exe /select,explorer.exe

 

That's all.
Now your super fast booting windows machine will directly logon to your desktop.
