crashfly Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 (edited) When I integrate all of my updates into my image file using W7T, I also include "IE9-Windows6.1-KB2559049-x64". This I realize is for the x64 bit image of Windows 7. Does integration of the IE9 cumulative update "Windows6.1-KB982861-x64" require just the x64 or the x86 one also? The reason I ask, even after integrating IE9 and then the cumulative update, Windows Update *still* wants to install KB982861. Is there a specific way that needs to be integrated, or is that something that just has to be run afterwards? Edited August 27, 2011 by crashfly Quote
Legolash2o Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 (edited) If i remember correctly there was a newer version of KB982681 released, i integrate IE9 all the time and i don't have the same issue but i am using the latest version of that download.http://hotfix.chris1...B982861-x86.msuhttp://hotfix.chris1...B982861-x64.msuYou should just need x64 version. Although you could try and x86 version as well.EDIT: Do you integrate the .exe or .msu? Edited August 27, 2011 by Legolash2o Quote
crashfly Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 Well, if those are the files I need, and I just checked the md5 hash of them, that is what I already have.I integrate this particular update as the last one, where as IE9 comes somewhere earlier in the list. After I install Windows 7, the first thing I do is check Windows Update. It tells me that KB982861 needs to be installed. (Officially it tells me that update and a couple of others need to be installed, but then I am also having issues getting the setupcomplete.cmd file to run also.)So anything you could suggest that I might need to do would be appreciated. crashfly Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 It is the x64 bit version. However, I have tried to integrate that into the image. Does not appear to like me. Quote

RicaNeaga Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 From my integrating experiences, I can also confirm that adding the latest ie9 build (ccleaner reffers to as ie9 9.0.2) is equivalent to installing the original ie9 build + all the later updates. Quote
Mr_Smartepants Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 So do these new ie9 installers include the cumulative security updates? Or is the latest one still required? Quote
RicaNeaga Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Sorry for repeating myself (i'm not post hunting ), but yes, the latest ie9 installers don't need any other update. I can say this for today, maybe next patch tuesday things will change (but maybe another updated ie9 installer will come out) Quote
