Legolash2o Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 (edited) That's probably due to the encryption tool i used to encrypt W7T code. What did you select? Anyone else getting this issue? Edited November 6, 2011 by Legolash2o Quote
zavan Posted November 6, 2011 Author Posted November 6, 2011 Why someone could encrypt the code of such a utility program. Are you planning to start selling W7T? Quote
Legolash2o Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Nope, someone has been editing my code and releasing it in their language, making me receive error reports. So what did you select in AIO tool? Quote
crashfly Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Why someone could encrypt the code of such a utility program. Are you planning to start selling W7T?The encryption is to keep others from stealing his work. It is perfectly legitimate in program. In most situations it should not cause a problem, but yes there can occasionally be bugs because of it. I applaud Legolash2o for wanting to protect his work and yet still keep the program free. Quote

I applaud Legolash2o for wanting to protect his work and yet still keep the program free.I am a coder myself and I fully understand the "problem". Of course I was joking regarding selling it. It would be a perfect joke to see W7T with a over network copy protection mechanism or a Hasp; But encrypting the code of such a tool really made me wondering. Quote
Legolash2o Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 i don't know how else to stop people from viewing my code Quote
zavan Posted November 6, 2011 Author Posted November 6, 2011 i don't know how else to stop people from viewing my code If the problem is only the language thing why don't create a support for translations using maybe an external "resource file", so for anyone who want to translate the prog to do it without any broken finger. Now if the problem is elsewere then... code encryption it's a measure but not for long. All the binary encryption tools someday (and this is not far) have their equivalent unpacker/decompiler. Quote
crashfly Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I will add support eventually. You could go ahead and prepare for that support by creating a list of items to be translated. That way, when you actually add that support to W7T, you will already have the translations ready. Hell, if there was a way, I would even try to help you myself ... but as it is, you are doing great with what you give us. Quote
zavan Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 I have replicate the above with one exception. At the exit of component remover (before I enter AIO tool) I choose save and rebuild. The above error, if there is any relevancy was only with a save after component remover. Quote
