ulysse Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Hi all,I'm new to W7T and I would like to create an unattended multi-edition ISO with added hotfixes, drivers; tweaks and some components removed.I'm wondering how and when to remove components using the standalone (not AIO as it offers less choices) component remover....before or after running the All-In-One Tool? Also, when using the standalone component remover I cannot choose multiple editions simultaneously. Does this mean that I have to remove the components on all 4 editions separately (mount HomeBasic, HomePremium, Pro and Ultimate one after the other and remove stuff over and over again)? Thanks for your help ;-)ulysse Quote
bilbaro Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Use All-In-One Tool for Remove Component. Also, you can use All-In-One Tool with all uses, in the same time, for all Windows 7 Version (Home, Premium, Pro & Ultimate) and the same architectures (x86 or x64):- Addons;- Component Removal;- Drivers;- Gadgets;- Files;- Services;- Silent Installs;- Theme Packs;- Tweaks;- Updates;- Walppapers. For AIO DVD, select all Windows 7 Version with the same architecture. ulysse Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 Thanks for your reply.Although, I would actually prefer to use the standalone component remover as it allows you to delete additional stuff.Any advice on my initial question, please?! Quote
Legolash2o Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 AIO just has a pre-defined list of components where as Component Removal actually mounts and scans the image. I have not got round to add everything from Component Removal Tool to AIO yet but hopefully they will have the same amount in the lists.Unfortunately, Component Removal will only let you remove stuff from 1 image at a time, i recommend you use AIO to remove from all images and then if you want, use Component Removal Tool to do the rest so shouldn't take as long.
