Posted April 6, 201212 yr Hi,I am trying to move the users folder (by default) away from the System partition... i would like to Install in on D:\ or to be asked where I want it to be installed...Using the unattended file didn't work - users file is still in C:\I noticed that a similar option exists in the vLite tab - is it normal that it can be done from the Unattended and the vLite at the same time ?Can anyone tell me the right way ?Thanks.
April 6, 201212 yr Can't tell. Here's a good topic on this:http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/win7-how-do-i-move-user-folder-to-a-different/565f16a5-e5ed-43c9-8422-4f56aebb296e
April 6, 201212 yr ...I noticed that a similar option exists in the vLite tab...I think you posted your question in the wrong subforum. Did you mean to ask this in the Win Toolkit subforum instead?Cheers and Regards

May 21, 201212 yr I am NOT necessarily endorsing this approach, but to save others the trouble of downloading this short text file, I'll reproduce it here.1. Log in as admin2. Open regedit & goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList3. right click profiles directory & click modify edit to D:\User4. close regedit5. Control Panel User Accounts create new user for yourself log off6. Log in with your new user account and you're done !!!!!!Delete your old user account after transfering all your data.In the future dbcat11, I think that this is the preferred approach for instructions like this.Cheers and Regards
