Windows Update Error – 8024402C

<p><a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;wincert&period;net&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2015&sol;01&sol;windows-7&period;jpg"><img class&equals;"alignnone size-full wp-image-546" src&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;wincert&period;net&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2015&sol;01&sol;windows-7&period;jpg" alt&equals;"Windows 7 Box" width&equals;"720" height&equals;"340" &sol;><&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>I had some issues with my laptop not updating from Windows Update&comma; so I&&num;8217&semi;ve tried to google for a solution on this <span style&equals;"color&colon; &num;003366&semi;">Windows update error code&colon; 8024402C<&sol;span>&comma; but without luck&period; All of the provided solutions were not related to my issue&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Here is how the error message appeared&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><img src&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;wincert&period;net&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2010&sol;06&sol;winupdateerror&period;PNG" alt&equals;"" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><&excl;--more--><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>What I have noticed is that updates are managed by the system administrator &lpar;see the line&rpar;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><span style&equals;"color&colon; &num;003366&semi;">You receive update&colon; Managed by your system administrator<&sol;span><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>So&comma; I&&num;8217&semi;ve clicked on the link below &&num;8216&semi;<span style&equals;"color&colon; &num;003366&semi;">Check online for updates from Microsoft Update<&sol;span>&&num;8216&semi; and everything worked fine as you can see in the picture below&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><img src&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;wincert&period;net&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2010&sol;06&sol;windowsupdateerror2&period;PNG" alt&equals;"" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Now&comma; I&&num;8217&semi;m not sure when this option appeared&comma; but I&&num;8217&semi;m guessing it is related to my work profile and GPO that applies the WSUS settings&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Error 8024402C should not bother you anymore &colon;&rpar;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
