<p>I had some issues with my laptop not updating from Windows Update, so I&#8217;ve tried to google for a solution on this <span style="color: #003366;">Windows update error code: 8024402C</span>, but without luck. All of the provided solutions were not related to my issue.</p>
<p>Here is how the error message appeared:</p>

<p>What I have noticed is that updates are managed by the system administrator (see the line)</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #003366;">You receive update: Managed by your system administrator</span></strong></p>
<p>So, I&#8217;ve clicked on the link below &#8216;<span style="color: #003366;">Check online for updates from Microsoft Update</span>&#8216; and everything worked fine as you can see in the picture below.</p>

<p>Now, I&#8217;m not sure when this option appeared, but I&#8217;m guessing it is related to my work profile and GPO that applies the WSUS settings.</p>
<p>Error 8024402C should not bother you anymore :)</p>
