I had some issues with my laptop not updating from Windows Update, so I’ve tried to google for a solution on this Windows update error code: 8024402C, but without luck. All of the provided solutions were not related to my issue.
Here is how the error message appeared:
What I have noticed is that updates are managed by the system administrator (see the line)
You receive update: Managed by your system administrator
So, I’ve clicked on the link below ‘Check online for updates from Microsoft Update‘ and everything worked fine as you can see in the picture below.
Now, I’m not sure when this option appeared, but I’m guessing it is related to my work profile and GPO that applies the WSUS settings.
Error 8024402C should not bother you anymore 🙂
