If you have a private domain and private e-mail you might have received occasional errors when sending e-mail messages.
In some cases, the e-mail might return with the following message:
This mail is unauthenticated, which poses a security risk to
the sender and Gmail users, and has been blocked. The sender must authenticate with at least one of SPF or DKIM. For this message, DKIM checks did not pass and SPF check for [domain name] did not pass with ip: [ipaddress]. The sender should visit https://support.google.com/mail/answer/81126#authentication for instructions on setting up authentication.The solution is rather simple if you have access to your CPANEL.
Once you login to your domain’s CPANEL administration panel, navigate to Email Deliverability and there you’ll probably find the following error message:
This will automatically perform the following actions:
- To properly configure your SPF record, you must include this server’s IP address.
Click on Repair again and that’s it.
Repeat this for all the domains that have the SPF issue.
