Microsoft to buy cybersecurity company RiskIQ
Microsoft has just announced that the company is in the final stages of the agreement to acquire RiskIQ, a cybersecurity company based in San Francisco.
Microsoft still hasn’t confirmed the details of the agreement yet, but rumors say that the RiskIQ company is probably going to be acquired for $500 million in cash.
The Redmond giant already has a great collection of security solutions for its multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments and with the addition of Risk IQ’s its customers will be able to better apprehend online threats in digital environments.
Even though RiskIQ will become part of Microsoft’s existing security portfolio the company plans to continue serving RiskIQ’s existing customer base and its community of security professionals.
